Rumor: Crash Bandicoot is back... In Skylanders

I mean, I have a feeling that this isn't the only Crash-related news coming at E3, but it kinda sucks that the most disappointing one got leaked far in advance. Oh well. It'll just make the inevitable announcement of Sony buying the IP and making a new game with Naughty Dog in-tow all the sweeter, right?

... Right?

Guys...I'm joking!

Of course Sony execs are aware that there's a vocal fanbase of people who want a new game.

I just wish they could listen to every single one of us

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha This is such an Activision troll if true. Good work everyone! The demand for Crash was so high that Activision took notice!

So Crash is coming back on PlayStation and this is a tie-in part of the deal? Pretty cool. (Shh, let me believe).

So much salt.

I still don't understand why people let themselves get so hyped up for a series that doesn't seem to fit within the modern gaming landscape.

That would be an interesting argument.

Well, most of the team behind those games are gone; they seem intent on making motion-captured, super-grounded games; the concept art they had for Jak and Daxter PS3 were bastardizations of the series by consensus...

Honestly I don't want current Naughty Dog to handle a game like this; they've shown no signs that they can.

If this ends up being true Sony would lose consumers indirectly, collateral damage as they call it, some people are so into the idea that Sony is making a new crash game that this is gonna destroy their love for PS altogether

The age of Sony is done

Nintendo (especially) and Playstation buyers can still handle these types of games. Rachet & Clank is apparently doing very well too.

As long as I got my Knack 2, I'm fine with whatever happens to Crash. My feeling is that Sony had licensed Crash from Activision and Sony is going to not put a big budget to a new Crash game since they won't own the IP.

We should all just pretend we don't care about Crash anymore. At this point it's just Activision puppaterring the husk of a once great franchise for nostalgia profit.

Let Crash rest.

Different genres. Ratchet and Clank is not a 3D platformer. Crash is.

3D platformers outside of Mario are dead. There's a good reason Yooka-Laylee had to use Kickstarter to get it off the ground.
