Soul Calibur has guest characters, Altair and Ezio are guest characters in any game that will have them. This makes perfect sense.

Also that's definitely Lexia and not Talim.

Also also, I don't think we've seen Nightmare before now, even though he was confirmed, so that's cool too.

Remember that they still managed to taint all three versions with Necrid as a guest character. He didn't even exist before Soul Calibur. Todd MacFarlane just shat out another terrible demon thing specifically for Soul Calibur.

Also if we suppose that the 2 rows in the middle are the only returning characters we'd only have five more. Available choices are:

• Cervantes
• Kilik
• Lizardman
• Yoshimitsu
• Yun-seong
• Raphael
• Talim
• Zasalamel

I'd say Cervantes, Yoshimitsu and Raphael are a shoe in (non-aging creatures). If I'm choosing I'd take Talim and Kilik too (and replace two of the former with new characters with the same style).

Even though I don't like them it would be pretty cool if Setsuka or Seong Mi-Na became older badasses, but who am I kidding?

I liked Spawn's moveset in SC2. Maybe his character model didn't fit, but I thought he was fun to play.
