Is Nightmare a female now? I am totally lost on the SC lore.

No. Rumor was that Sophie was going to be the new Nightmare, but this image deconfirms that. Nighty on the character select screen seems to be his own entity again.

So it's pretty much confirmed now? I've never played Assassin's Creed, but I like the addition.

How does that deconfirm anything?

Whoops, forgot Phyrra replaced Sophie.

Even still, looking at the image of Nightmare, I highly doubt Namco would be dense enough to keep the art of Nightmare so similar if Soul Edge possessed a female.

For what it's worth, I think I see a hint of eyelashes in the corner of Nightmare's eyes, and they look generally more female. But that might just be because I would want it, since I'm sick to death of original Nightmare.

However, I don't see why a Sophiemare would be in heavy armor, unless the Nightmare armor actually took over her.

Edit: Slim Nightmare? I'd be surprised if Sophie wasn't in it then.

Looks quite interesting. I'm just hoping that if it is Sophitia being Nightmare now, her style will be quite different. After all, how many "shield + sword" move-sets do we need?

As it stands right now, I still wonder about what fate will befall Lizardman...

Tomorrow night. When they say 1 AM Thursday, they actually mean Friday 1AM. This confusion happens literally every time the show is mentioned.

Yep. Makes you wonder why they don't bother changing it, already. And for that matter, why 1 AM EST, anyway?

It looks like there is gonna be around 28 characters, that's alot to master!

I count 30 slots. Eight in each row, times four rows, minus two slots that have been replaced by what looks like a stone carving of the Soul Edge eye.

By comparison, there were 34 characters in Soul Calibur 4, if you count the five bonus characters.

One of those is the create a character slot (the one with the sword and shield on it most likely.) So that would really make it 29, unless there are bonus characters like before.

If true, that's pretty cool news.
I never had any real hate for the exclusive characters, they didn't really bother me too much. They were what they were, bonuses. But if this is true and he plays well, I'll have to take some of my Ivy-time and devote it to Ezio.

I'd prefer it doesn't. More leaks would make them rethink their increased interaction :P
Leaks haven't slowed Capcom's interaction. :P The only reason this is an issue is that every event that comes around we have to wait another 3 or 4 days to hear anything with these embargoes.

The reason Star Wars got *extra* hate was because they also got special stages that also didn't fit in, all in a game short on stages to begin with. And since they so frequently came up in random select, it was harder to just ignore the guest influence this time.

Unlike the guest characters in II, the Star Wars characters were all over the place. The ones in II never came up in Arcade mode and barely in Edge Master mode, while Starkiller was in Arcade mode every time you played it and I'm assuming they were both in Tower of Souls mode at some point.

"Arcade" mode in Soul Calibur didn't have any of the console exclusives, not only the guests. Even Lizardman, Assassin and Berserker didn't appear there. They all appeared in "Extra Arcade" though.

I don't remember the Star Wars crew in the Tower of Souls. They also never appeared in Story mode, if you weren't playing with another Star Wars character.

Hahaha YES!

This adds more to the fact that Ezio is better than no personality whatsover Altair.

I would pay good moneys for this game on PC, if only for the character creator. I know I would be in that millions of hours.

It's already confirmed that Hwang is not coming back. And so many people were banned for not reading an OP before getting obnoxious and indignant at a thread in Off Topic.

3 is X's daughter yeah?

Who is 6

18 is what 2 swords and a shield?
Yes, 3 is X's daughter

We don't know who 6 is yet. Hopefully we'll find out by the end of the week. IF not, then there's a public event next week and they should tell us by then.

18 is assumed to be the Created Character slot.
