[RUMOUR] PT/Silent Hill NOT exclusive to PS platforms

You mean when we finally get a release date for FFXV?

Common sense leads one to believe this is the case.

Why bother paying for it when it'll be incredibly lopsided in PS' favor anyways?

I just assumed that the exclusivity claim for this was part of some pissing match between MS and Sony fans. This IP would probably be an even dumber thing to moneyhat than Tomb Raider. The casual/mass market doesn't respond well to horror games. Dead Space being the most obvious example of a franchise being gutted in an attempt to grow its base.

Look forward to playing it on the PC.

Nah that's just EA chasing gold at the end of a rainbow, first game sold well and the 2nd sold significantly more than that.

I was thinking that P.T. might be console exclusive when it was first revealed at Gamescom even if it wasn't stated as such. After seeing it was SH, there was no doubt this was going multiplatform.

Nobody said it was exclusive, does anyone really thought that?

Jim Ryan mentioned on Gamescom pressconf that this is exclusive from a new studio... but that was obvious misdirection.

This will be nextgen multiplatform game, hopefully and PC.

that stupid Tomb Raider thing is messing with peoples minds... why on earth would this be exclusive..? Hideo Kojima.. Fox Engine..

This. I've fallen into the camp of 'throw everything out the window and wait for official PR.' Thanks, SE.

I thought he said that but after watching it again it sounded more like he was saying the interactive trailer is exclusive.

Yeah, when they said "Exclusive Preview yadda yadda" on stage at GC, I figured that was the extent of what was exclusive.

Hopefully it's current gen and (fingers crossed) PC only at least.

I don't think he said that, he just said something a "interactive trailer exclusive to our PS4 store" or something like that.

I'm 100% sure it´s multi.

Lol at the thread title. I can imagine the console split will be 70:30 in PS4's favour anyway.

Probably even more in PS4's favour than that. We're already at 2:1 sales.

Part of me wishes Sony would bust out the chequebook, just so Xbone fans will understand and stop going on about how MS are adding value to the Xbone.

I think we'll need more than a rumor before the harvest festival starts. Don't care much either way myself. Giving people reasons to buy other platforms is a good thing in my book.

No he didn't, he said "PT is a new title from a new studio and the exclusive interactive teaser is live right now on Playstation store."

Uhhh

Who said it wasn't? This ain't a rumour this is just some fanboy desperately trying to prove it ain't just because the teaser is only available on PSN.

Konami is a multiplatform publisher, I highly doubt they would put all these big names together in a fairly niche genre to restrict the profits to a singular platform. Especially with the Fox Engine's multiplatform nature.

The easy counter-argument would be Tomb Raider of course.

I don't think this was/is a thing. Vast majority of people never thought for a second that SIlent Hills was exclusive to playstation.
