It's Crytek. All they've ever done is make playable tech demos that you have to pay for.

Far Cry 1 was decent, Crysis 1 is good but gets really really bad towards the end. They've made good games, but those games are from long ago.

Yeah its a no brainer and a great setting but I don't know if even launch goggles can make this a success.

Knack VS Ryse...?

Ha ha, I hope Knack is better (Definitely because I'm not getting it ), but Knack feels more unappreciated to me, at least compared to what people have to say here and elsewhere, but I'll know for myself in 8 DAYS!

I think for a game like Ryse, less likely to be misunderstood or underappreciated, compared to Knack, which feels like a genre thats been pretty absent for a while I feel. Hope despite the reviews they continue to look into future platformers.

The only reason for this I can imagine is that the market is oversaturated with first person shooters. While, with games like Ryse, there aren't much like it, even if it is as poor as these reviews are saying.

Well, I haven't heard very positive stories about Killzone from people that finished it, so the NO for Killzone seems reasonable. The YES for Ryse is highly debatable though.

I see an awful lot of sudden and unexplained generosity for a launch game when I thought games press were bagging on launch games to prove some chest-pounding point.

Almost all reviews have this "Its not a good game but..." caveat to them which is absolutely fucking hilarious.
