Really. It’s cool, gorgeous art, cool music, but really boring characters, and combat that doesn’t change.
7/10ish from me. Good, but not great.

Hmm... kinda disappointed with the physical goodies that you're getting in this retail version vs the Japanese release (the OST comes on an actual CD on that one instead of being digital download).

Don't hold your breath though, I ordered this back in 2022. Their support page says they plan on releasing it in "Q4 2023" lol Might just be whatever the physical version of vaporware is at this point

BACKER-EXCLUSIVE PHYSICAL EDITION UPDATE​

Our priority is for the backer-exclusive edition to be shipped before the retail version hits the shelves later this year. While we don’t have an exact date to share at this time, know that we are doing everything in our power to allow backers to get their hands on it as soon as possible.

As you can imagine, things have evolved quite a lot since the backer-exclusive physical edition was first announced during the Kickstarter campaign back in 2020. While we can't reveal more details just yet, we're excited to confirm that we have been approaching the backer-exclusive version back from the drawing board to make it a more unique and exciting package with exclusive elements that go beyond the cover art. All of this is in the spirit of giving as much as we can to our early supporters, so we hope you are looking forward to it!

Oh, I phrased that incorrectly. It will have both a PEGI and an ESRB retail version and it will most likely be available through Amazon just like tons of iam8bit retail releases already do (Cuphead, Ori Collection, Stray, etc.).
