Wasn't it called hive mode or something? Basically it was Gears of War 2 HORDE mode with aliens instead.Valkyr Junkie said:Marines co-op in the first game was awesome

Great fun over LAN. Those two PC games were good, though for contrasting reasons.
Dirtyshubb said:Hopefully this will be really good as there far too little Aliens/Predator games around (although i did love Concrete Jungle, so underated).

It was ballin'. I used to play AvP constantly on Mplayer.com back in the day. Well until my parents got the phone bill.
If Rebellion don't have a similar Cooperative mode in AvP3 I will cry. If any franchise deserves it, it's AvP.
LOL reminds me of when me and a few friends used to go to this games shop to play AVP2 on LAN and we used to have a fantastic time.kennah said:One of my fondest video game memories was playing AvP2 at a LAN party. We had three teams going. 5 humans vs 2 aliens vs 1 predator. Because of the skill of the players involved, the teams were perfectly balanced. I was one of the aliens, and the 5 humans were grouped together in formation, protecting each others backs and no one could get close. Someone forgot to look up, I managed to crawl along the roof, sneaking into the middle of the group, dropped down and took out all 5 of them in a few seconds. It was incredible. Three of them never even saw me coming and the last two panicked and ran, only to be pounced to death. Good times.

I realize the images in the magazine are probably bullshots but if the real game looks even half as good as these images it's like the best looking game I've ever seen.
Probably also some of the best creation of atmosphere I've seen as well. It really feels like a surreal, infested space ship.
That I have no ideas about, but if nothing else it seems to have really high production values.HK-47 said:This better be worth the Aliens RPG is all I'm gonna say.
HK-47 said:Game looks pretty good. Like the Aliens, but everyone's gonna bitch about the generic setting, even though its emulating the setting that everyone else rips off.

At first i was a marine but in the end my main charcter was an alien, and my faveroute level was the jungle camp (big open area) since i could just look up and leap halfway across the map to attack my friends
Having the queen mode on was also lots of fun, having a friend shout "theres a queen, get it" and everyone teaming up to take it down before returning to the killing of each other
Hopefully this game will be good as i cant wait to play a new one (lets just hope it comes out on PS3).

ùYes, the movies have become increasingly pony, but the Aliens vs Predator games have always rocked hard, so a new one (out spring 2010-ish) is a reason to rejoice. Set 30 years after the brilliant Aliens movie, the game's set on an earth-like planet that's been colonised by the wily-headed ETs. So while colonial marines fight to put down the bitey threat, Predators arrive for their idea of the premier league. And you get to choose which race of angry Xenomorph you want to play. So you can expect three species-specific single-player campaigns, plus three-way Alien vs Predator vs Human online multi-player dust ups. Which is, like, totally cool!
It most likely a PC, 360, and PS3 game, but the magazine with the preview is a PlayStation magazine so that would currently be the only confirmed platform.Aegus said:Has the platform been announced yet?

The game is also being pitched squarely at an adult audience. A report describes the Predator's signature move being one where he picks up a marine, snaps his neck, then tears his head off, which is followed by his spinal column. Once off, the head will continue to blink and gasp, and...well, yes, you get the idea.

I agree, the psp game didn't count.. since they probably had an insane schedule to keep up with to get it out at the same time as the movie. believe this. hope so, hope so.teepo said:no, they only worked on the first one. this is their second jab at the series.

Can't wait to see what they're going to reveal at E3.
I'm kind of astounded by people who own a Wii but not a PS3 or 360.Evilink said:*sigh* Yet another Aliens game that will never come to Wii....why oh god, whyyyyy!
...Suck it up and by a 360?
