Ya they are a great entry for good sound but as I said before don't offer a massive jump for some folks.
I just realized these aren't the same as the 598 HD's are they?

Should we cancel our orders?
Yes. Or return.
Sennheiser and Amazon screwing us over selling old crappy headphones rebranded and higher price
Going by Amazon reviews, it looks like original 598SE but its specs are same with 569, and one 4⭐️ Head-Fi reviewer said it is less detailed than 380.I just realized these aren't the same as the 598 HD's are they?
What? The 569 is $179.99 while the 598SE is $147.44.
Yeh I dunno what I'm talking about . Just that. I really hate these headphones. Just annoyed I bought them and they suck I guess. Sall good though returning them and getting full refund and now wondering what are truly the good headphones .
My brother has the ath-m50 and those sound good . I like those .
What are comparable headphones to the ath-m50 , anyone know ?

now Massdrop has the Hifiman 350 for the same price

which would be better?
Now that's an interesting deal.
In terms of what?
Other people can still hear your music pretty clearly. I could see it being awkward to wear in a subway.
Try the Beyerdynamics 770 Pro.
Haha! I was sleeping. Anyway, the rebrand thing isn't very convincing to me.So does this mean they are garbage or what? Where is Gino to reassure? This is the problem with impulse buys.
I got Sennheiser HD 558s. I guess these aren't that big of an upgrade from it?

Even if they are, you're still getting them at a way better price.
Haha, did you miss out on last page's panic and top of this page's hyperbole? As far as I can tell no one is heralding them being the same as a bad thing, still a good product and still a good price.
So many people in this thread buying these for the sake of it.

But yeah, common sense seems to have returned.
Is the cable really hard to detach for anyone else? Really scared of breaking it. Edit: There's a turning mechanism, my bad.
Also what would be the best way to connect them to my soundcard?
What soundcard do you have?
A lot of times it's better to connect the headphones directly to the soundcard instead or whatever other place your PC case may have because they come with an amp (thus they sound better).
I have an old Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium. Should I just use the long cable with a 6,35mm to 3,5mm adapter?

It's more of a sidegrade.
Regardless, it's still a great deal.
That card has no amp for what I did read, so it shouldnt' be different. Still, I always like to hook my headphones directly to the soundcard, because some cases can produce some noise with their own connectors. You'll need to try by yourself, and also if it's an annoyance to you having a longer cord.

It's 17min long, but it's an in-depth review.
TL;DW: He prefers the CS over the open-can 598.

I have a turtlebeach px41 headset or something like that for ps4, and steelseries Siberia elite for pc.
I grabbed these and from What i have been reading in this thread i will notice quite an upgrade.
I will be using these for music, gaming and movies.
Am I right in assuming these will be an upgrade to my other headphones?

So, with the talk of proprietary connections, does anyone know if this mic actually works with this newer model? The only thing stopping me from pulling the trigger right now is the fear that the in line mic night be poor for gaming so the option of a boom mic would be welcome
I have the standard old HD 598s in Tan. This mic has the locking plug for mine. The set has worked well for me though the volume adjustment dongle feels cheap.
I know some people open up their headphones and replace the lock to use the vmoda boom mic which is likely much nicer than this one.
Got my 598 Cs today. Great sound, okay soundscape, terrible sound isolation.
Not to be listened to in a quiet space (e.g. an office), because everyone around you will clearly hear your Britney playlists.
Has anyone found some sort of headphone positioning so it doesn't advertise your music to everyone around?

Perhaps "isolation" refers merely to the state of not letting any sounds from the outside disturb you which is definitely the case. I can't perceive any sounds once they're on.

Not even kidding, I got a Britney playlist and this disappointed me too. Perhaps "isolation" refers merely to the state of not letting any sounds from the outside disturb you which is definitely the case. I can't perceive any sounds once they're on.
