Notable players include:

SF4

MCZ Tokido - No Daigo or Infiltration in sight, so will have to win by beating somebody else. Still a strong contender ... for just about every game.
Avermedia Gamerbee - No longer a surprise packet, but always a consistent performer who has had success in the country before. Will take a strong player to stop him.
MCZ Mago - Probably the hot favourite not to actually win the tournament. But Mago the "2nd" God is always a fan favourite.
DM|MCZ Xian - Recently exposed by Daigo, he'll be out to prove that he is more than an unknown match-up. Or he'll switch to Juri or something.
DM|MCZ Gackt - The Singapore specialist, famous for beating Daigo in a money match and not doing a lot since. Will be really looking to put his name on the international tournament map.
Skatan - Representing both Sweden and Chun-li, he has a chance to put both well and truly on the map...probably somewhere near Denmark.
Snake Eyez - Could get bodied by bad match ups, but always has a plan and will take some beating.
RF - Will body Snake Eyez for free. May possibly be brought down by the Heavy Weapons effect. If you don't know what that is, you'll work it out by the end of the tournament.
Uryo - Training room monster who is often the source of rolled eyes when Chris G's Sakura gets hyped up. But to date, hasn't brought his best to tournaments and will be looking to shine here.
WDM|Louffy - One of the top couple of Rose players in the world, which of course means he is also one of the worst. It looks like a step up in class for the Frenchman, but nobody questions his talent. May or may not play with a "o" in his name, stay tuned!
Y - Japanese player who is almost impossible to search for. His Cammy is ranked #1 in Japan and his E. Ryu is probably a gun. So he is decent.
Aziz - Token Cammy from Kuwait. Will probably win it. (Couldn't make it)
Chuan - Malaysian player who threatens to bring some dirty Fei Long technology to the tournament.
Dixon – The boxer from Singapore, shows that you don't have to be completely random with the character to succeed.
Neurosis - Will Bison win a major? Probably not, but this guy could do it.
Adel + Maan - Two more Kuwait players looking to make a name for themselves.

UMVC3

DJ Huoshen - Comes to the event with a point to prove after being the odd man out from the American contingent in the last Marvel SS tournament.
Ranmasama - Will knock out DJ Huoshen
BT Clockw0rk - Always a strong competitor who takes picking the most boring team possible very seriously. Will probably see a lot of him.
Abegen - Tries very hard to pick the worst team possible, but still seems to succeed. One to watch for some random fun.
Qamberco - Bringing the marvel tech from Kuwait, will he be able to hang with the mid-tier guns?
SL| Antman - Has shown before he can hang with these guys. But faces a tough pool with Clockw0rk.

Also look out for top players in other games like JDCR, Sai and more special guests http://www.shadowlogic.com.au/special-guests.

Shadowloo Showdown is always one of the best tourney to watch, so stacked. I'm surprised at the lack of EG players.

Just an update but Aziz could not go to Shadowloo at the very last minute :( Adel will be taking his spot in the seeding

People aren't hyped for SS Marvel but its going to have some crazy stuff. No gods there mean its a free for all and anyone can win. Top 8 is going to be good, bet on it. If the Australians progress far then you know shit will pop off.

I like Tokido and Ranmasama in this. Some very interesting international presence as well.

Yeah I'm pretty keen for it. You could make up a good top 8 with solid and interesting players and then it is anybodies game.

Hopefully Antman can hype up the local crowd.

I'm sad Arnold's not there, I feel he's Australia's best Marvel player. That being said I'm still excited to see how the aus scene stacks up.

Watch out for my man Vlade too, he plays a mean ZMC, pool H won't know what hit it.

I see Ranmasama winning Marvel. Was watching him on the stream earlier today and he has some nice new technology that I've never seen him use before. Very impressed with some of his tech.
