Hey remember that time Kane shocked Shane's junk?

Just like the good ol' days

A good crowd does wonders.

And there are a lot of good crowds between now and mania. 4 Raws until mania and 3 of them are in the 3 smark capitals of the US.

Chicago.
Brooklyn
Philly

And then of course there is RAW after Mania which is great no matter what town because of the international crowd of super intense wrestling fans.

Yeah, in a bad way. The
invasion and brand split
is what got us into this mess in the first place. That's what ended the boom period.

Yeah, I have to admit, I am a little worried about a
brand split
as I was never a huge fan of that.

Something different would be welcome though.

This is essentially
WWE: Civil War
.

I take it back.

Do this angle, please. Then have all the talent get stuck on Smackdown and move all the NXT people and NXT creative to RAW.

If they're going the two-show roster split path, they need to have one title per type of belt. It can change hands in-house, but it should only switch brands if someone from the other brand wins it on a PPV.

The original plan was for Bryan to be the Smackdown guy and Cena the Raw guy w/ their respective secondary titles.

And one world belt? Or a world belt split across two titles that will eventually be unified? I don't like the two-belt situation ever. One belt gives one show something to be proud of and brag about, and the other show something to quest for and strive after. It's built-in conflict. Giving everyone a belt is just silly considering they always unify them anyway.

As much as I hate the idea of a brand split if it means most of these men and women will be working once less date I will live with it.

We don't need two of all the belts.

The whole point is that both groups are fighting against each other for supremacy. Each half of the brand should be fighting to have the most gold on their show. It should be something earned and to be proud of.

Also, bring back jobbers.

...Which is essentially the same thing as
InVasion
.

The problem with
the Invasion was that it was everybody's dream WCW vs WWF feud but it got turned into another dumb Mr. McMahon vs McMahon kids storyline. This possible current Civil War makes more sense because the notion of who is going to succeed Vince is a very real question and adds worked-shoot drama to the storyline. We know that Shane legit left the company six years ago and we know that Steph and Triple H are the legit chosen successors.
Raw's opening segment was fantastic because Shane was bringing up very real problems with the current product and turning it into a kayfabe issue. There was also tension as to how they're going to eventually reveal what the full extent of the deal between Shane and Vince was before Shane left.

If Shane "takes over" Raw, does he turn it into a show with heavy NXT influence or a show built around Roman? Do Triple H and Stephanie bring a bunch of new talent to Smackdown since Triple H has been established in kayfabe as running NXT? Do we get a new "brand" war, only with people allying with Steph/HHH vs Shane? EDIT: It could work that certain wrestlers get their way on non-Raw shows because they're aligned with Steph/HHH, but get put in place on Raw by Shane.

That lockbox thing is very interesting as well. There's probably something in there that either makes it so Vince can no longer run WWE (in kayfabe) or something that reveals that one of the McMahons isn't Vince's child and thus doesn't have a bloodline claim to the company. I mean, yes, it's a freaking company, not a royal dynasty, but Lucha Underground has shown that out-there storylines can work if done correctly.

1 top belt. 1 secondary for each show.

Someone responsible for the set fucked up and ordered the wrong type of glass.
It was supposed to be sugar glass.

It was actual plexiglass

why in the fuck would kurt go for it again then lol gat damn he is lucky it worked the second time

Just spent some time re-watching that segment.

Vince is just masterful in it. His whole mannerisms in the opening 10 minutes are just brilliant.
