My local wal mart is having a sale on Bond's blu rays, Im not interested in owning all of them so im planning to buy the best ones.

So far I have gotten Goldeneye, Casino Royale and QoS.

I havent really watched anything from the old catalog other than Moonraker, what are other old good Bond movies to watch on Bluray?

From Russia with Love, Goldfinger, Thunderball, The Spy Who Loved Me, The Living Daylights. Both of Dalton's movies are good, but TLD is much better in my opinion. I also liked For Your Eyes Only, but it doesn't even come close to The Spy Who Loved Me if you ask me. I'm not a fan of Dr. No and You Only Live Twice was disappointing.

Oh and On Her Majesty's Secret Service. That's a good one. Not one of my top five favorites, but I like how it changed the formula a bit.

Am I the only one who is bummed out that Silva's prosthesis didn't fall off at some point during the last act? I fully expected that to happen, would have been amazing to see him as both the figurative and literal monster that M made him during the final confrontation. It was such a powerful visual, I was disappointed that they only used it once.

I agree, but just very recently rewatched For Your Eyes Only, and man, I knew it wouldn't hold up, but the first hour of that thing is just ugly and gross. Amazingly stupid, too. Spy Who Loved Me is the best Roger Moore Bond, easily. I thought For Your Eyes Only was a close second - but it's not.

I'd probably swap Dr. No for Thunderball, too.

Yeah, I'd have been curious about the direction. The only reason I say I'm relieved is because I am hoping they don't do more Bond backstory and his raw emotions because the other three Craig films did that just fine.

I think you might be misinterpreting, it's not that Skyfall and Bond 24 were planned as a two part story, it was Bond 24 and 25 that were being planned as a two-parter.
