Skyrim Switch Trailer (Link amiibo support)

I really like that this is coming to Switch, though I'm still waiting to see how it performs spec wise. I don't think it will be something I buy day 1, but at some point down the road. At least we got to see a bit of it.

Probably one reason why they won't call it the special edition is because it's never been on a Nintendo console and it also has features the other versions don't have

I'm into it. I already beat Skyrim last gen, but the idea of playing this on the go sounds cool. and honestly I need more games on my Switch lol.

Also, the presenter said all the games shown are coming out this year. So maybe they didnt reveal the date because Nintendo wanted to reveal it at their conference??

It's definitely based off the SE version. It's got the upgraded light scattering effect. No idea how it compares to the PS4/One version, though. Will have to wait for release to say for sure.

I'm in day one provided it's a decent port.

Question for people buying: are you planning on playing this portable?

I own Skyrim on 3 other platforms, including the PS4 copy I haven't even opened yet-- the main reason I'd buy this version would be for portable play, and I treat my Switch like a home console almost entirely.

This is so bizarre after all these years. Let alone the amiibo functionality.

Edit:

Looked absolutely terrible.

Easy Allies guys ripping it to shreds right now

I used the downtime to watch the Keighley and Reggie trash talk, why did they rip this apart? Seems like their thing honestly.

Add me to the pile of confused reactions to Passion Pit being in the trailer. That said, I'd be willing to get Skyrim again on a portable console, so I'm pretty jazzed. I hope you can get more stuff from Amiibo other than BotW Link!

Skyrim Portable is a big hook for me. If the motion controls are tight it could be fun. It could just as easily be really clumsy though. We'll see what everybody says when they get their hands on it.

I didn't realize developers are still trying motion control on Nintendo consoles, lol.

Anyway this looks nice on the basis that I love Skyrim and playing it on the bed would be nice.

Gotta load up on talking points

I was thinking this as well, but people are gonna do what they do. I'll probably pick that game up just for the luxury of being able to play Skyrim wherever but I kinda thought that whole conference was a bit lackluster. Wolfenstein 2 looks great and I'll probably pick up Evil Within 2, but I stayed up until midnight for that?
