Skyrim Switch Trailer (Link amiibo support)

I hope the smash bros link amiibo unlocks it as well. Otherwise, looking good! Watch Bethesda release this at the same time as BotW dlc pack 2. :P

Motion controls might actually pair well with the pool noodle feel of melee combat.

I'm intrigued, but hope we hear something about modding support.

I am very curious about what framerate and resolution this is running at as it's cleary running at 60fps during about 10-15 seconds of the trailer but around 30fps for the rest: Youtube

Also I fully agree that the song choice was one of the weirdest I've ever seen but why all the hate for Passion Pit? Gossamer is a fantastic album.

Nobody wants this.

Looked absolutely terrible.

Easy Allies guys ripping it to shreds right now

GAF and, now, EA (considering what they said on their recent podcast) have no sense of what Skyrim is to a more casual audience. Like, I don't understand how some of you can be so tone deaf to this game, especially after we already went through this with the remaster and how well it sold to what should not have been the surprise of anyone.

This game is gonna get a lot of hate since it's so old but I'm pretty excited to have a portable version, and one with Nintendo themed content at that. Also the motion controls didn't look terrible. I can't see myself using them ever but whatever. It's neat.

Day 1.

Arrow control looked good. The sword play looked like gesture gameplay. It makes sense because they would have to fundamentally change the mechanics to support 1 to 1 but I don't like it as much as the arrow controls.

What really matters to me is how they handle inventory management and spell/ weapon switching.

Other than that it looks good so far. I hope the lack of release date doesn't mean it will get pushed back beyond September. The longer the delay the more at risk of forcing people to choose between Skyrim and a new holiday title.

Pachter's face killed me. Sorry I couldn't get a shot without the bar but lol

Amiibo functionality and motion controls are icing on the cake. We're definitely getting the complete edition with all the DLC, so now all we need is confirmation this supports mods? Which I'm pretty sure is a yes, even if it is limited like PS4

I'm still expecting late September/early October release for this, and I personally cannot wait to play Skyrim for the first time.

direct feed looked 60fps for the most part while off screen looked 30fps

But i cNt imagine this being as good

if you're one of the gamers that once you play one title that is very good can't play any other title that is somewhat in the same ball park then I guess. But a shame if that's the case. Skyrim is by no means a perfect game, but it is very much THE perfect game to have on here after BotW. A huge time sink of a game for taking on long trips and plane trips.

my wife will buy her own switch for this..and I want it too. That's already two games sold!

absolutely correct imho.

I love how this was the only switch game. Feels like an EA/WiiU thing. Get the one game and nothing else.

Probably the only game the Switch will get from Bethesda. The best they could do is a port of a game that came out 6 years ago on the previous generation.

Motion control archery was one of my favourite aspects of the Wii Zelda games, looking g forward to trying that.

Re: popularity, Skyrim is an evergreen title, it was still in the top 20 selling games five years after release in some places.

Bizarre that people are bashing this game? Did people expect something different from this? The SE edition with a few switch specific stuff. Looks great..

And now it's in portable form.

And it's going to sell at least a million units. Probably a lot more if it's a solid port.

A large portion of GAF continuing to be completely insular and unaware of the market.

The environments look nice but the character models have always been ugly to me in Skyrim and this looks to continue that. I think there are a lot of people who will enjoy Skyrim on Switch but I'll pass.

Looks exactly like the special edition... What are you talking about?

This. We're of course going to need the comparison videos but at first glance that looks like the special edition graphics wise. What setting level it is should be the debate I think.

I'll triple dip. Maybe being able to play on the go will get me to finally finish it. Assuming I ever finish BotW, takes up all console time.

My only complaint is that Bethesda used some lame song instead of almost anything from Skyrim sound track. Other then that I'm happy with what I saw. I already have it preordered.
