Skyrim Switch Trailer (Link amiibo support)

Any word on mod support ?

As someone that have spent 1400+ hrs on the PC version, they better have mod support, and not PS4 mod support, but Xbox One/PC style mod support, vanilla Skyrim is way way to broken.
Skyrim need at minimum the Unofficial Skyrim patches.

What Skyrim needs the most, and probably the only mods that are absolutely necessary :

FACE MODS.

Even those disgusting porcellain looking mods are better than the shovelfaces of the original.... on second thought, they aren't, but you get my point.

Will doubledip on this. Skyrim on the go (or in bed, or while taking a bath) sounds great, also game looks good, even though I don't care about amiibos, motion control nor Link outfit.
Will probably have hard times going back to Skyrim after 200+ hrs spent on Witcher 3, but it's the best we will get for now.

Im gonna be livid when they waste time in the E3 direct for this game.

Or at the very least theyll show it off during treehouse?

I get the feeling that Nintendo won't allow any mod support besides maybe the new paid mods thing but I could be wrong.

I get the feeling that this will not have any Mod-Support at all.
Maybe I'm remembering wrong, I thought they said it would have some mod support, when they originally annouced it. It could of changed. At least it seemed Nintendo was more open to it then Sony.I would imagine they would allow the mods possible on the hardware.

Awesome. I wonder if it just allows gyro aiming. I don't mind all of the motion, but I just want to play it like a Wii FPS. Either way, I'll give it a shot.

Had Skyrim PC, none of the DLC, the main quest bugged out for me during a city seige sequence

So I'll probably jump back in with the Switch version

you didn't play skyrim when it came out originally?

I simply wasn't interested in it.

That said I'm actually not interested in western RPGs in general unless they have some kind of...thing that could hook me, I guess?
Since I'm a big Nintendo fan, having Zelda content is enough to get me to buy this game. Not every game, mind you. But with this game it works. *shrug*

Motion controls will probably make me buy this just to try them out.

Thought ARMS worked well, but I'm really looking forward to combining motion control with normal movement/camera controls.

Zelda's fine aiming was also amazing, reminded me of the sniper rifle in KZ2.

Looks far better than expected, probably a release date will be announced during the spotlight, but I've the feeling that the game is already complete and they only need a good month to launch it.

*watches video. See's Link outfit/amiibo support and cringes"

"Why do these random ass games have to shoehorn some completely irrelevant Nintendo object in to sell to Nintendo gamers? Can't they just sell their game? Do they not think the market is there and that Switch owners won't buy a game without Nintendo fanservice? It cheapens both brands and takes away from the 3rd party game lore/atmosphere."

*Reads first page of thread.*

"God damn it."

In fairness, it's not even the first time Skyrim has done something like this. Remember the Space Core?

Otherwise, I'm up for this. I mean, this is basically the game that was intended to signal the console's balance of performance and form factor. Skyrim was on everything except handhelds, and now, it's on a handheld. That's the big deal in all of this.

Dont need motion for sword, but yes for arrow aiming. Looks like it has a Wii Sports Resort style 'pull back' which could be....interesting.

Will def get though, I only played till the first dragon when I first played it and always meant to go back. This is teh perfect opportunity

So is this Skyrim Special Edition, or...?

What's wrong with having another control option?

It's running on the same engine at least, given how the lighting looks. But they probably won't call it Special Edition because it won't have mod support? Or maybe that's what's holding it off, Nintendo and Bethesda coming to terms with mod support?

Those motion controls look pretty half assed to me. The shield and sword especially. Arrows I guess is a bit better but I dunno maybe it's just the tiny controllers and almost no movement range makes it look like glorified waggle.

It looked pretty sub-par in the trailer, but I think we will get a better look at those controls during the Treehouse.

Skyrim and GTA V were two everygreen titles i thought Bethesda and R* could dip their feet into the switch with to see how their genre of games would sell on the system. I hope this and FIFA both do well. I'm really Surprised that there wasn't a GTA 5 announced yet, given they have so many platforms to port from, but i digress. Skyrim looks good. Can't wait til this fall.

Why are they not calling Special Edition? It clearly is, if the footage is indicative.

Also, assuming this does well, what's next for Bethesda on Switch? I doubt the next Elder Scrolls game is going to be on Switch. Maybe Doom?

Also, lol at now showing Link's face. The bottom of his face looks terrible and his "hair" from the back looked so so bad. Can you create your own character in Skyrim? Maybe they didn't show his face because it's not actually Link, it's just Link's clothes and weapons on your player-created character?

That's obviously what's going on, like in Monster Hunter.

Back shot looks fine.

But from the front the illusion is broken.

We're definitely going to hear more in the Treehouse streams if not the Spotlight.

Super excited for this though, hoping for HD Rumble and other amiibo support or just Nintendo mods. Even Link support and especially motion controls is way more than I expected.

I wasn't going to buy it full price at first...but I got it on Amazon for 55$CAD so that'll do it. :)

Can't wait to play this again!

That "Link" amiibo support made me cringe... And made the trailer less appealing to me... And this added to move controls... Just made me cut any interest I could have on it.
