Small changes you'd like to see in Destiny

There's a lot of little things I'd like to see added/changed, but I think the smallest ones that could go a long way are;

-In game map
-Public chat channels
-Easier to see loot
-Pulse rifle and hand canon buffs, especially in PvP.
-In game volume levels (is this really not here or am I missing something?)

And the most important imo: Wider FOV, though I don't know if that's a small change technically speaking. PvP is incredibly disorienting at times because of this, I had to crank my sensitivity up to 7 just to make it more manageable.

Edit: Also...
-A dummy target to test weapons on in the tower is a no-brainer as well.
-Also some way of buying back dismantled loot or prevention.

Zoba nailed it. Everything in that list. Especially beards and faster load times.

I may be missing something, but is there any way to tell what class someone is just by looking at their emblem/nameplate in between matches? You start off using the Hunter/Warlock/Titan emblem which are recognisable, but once you buy a new emblem it becomes impossible to tell.

Oh, another thing: trading. That would make the Tower actually useful and player-friendly instead of it just being an NPC hub that I sometimes get forced to visit.

I think they had trading planned but eventually decided against it, something about wanting people to earn their gear instead of just buying it.
 
-put the stat screens and the grimoire in the god damn game plz. I'm not using a 3rd party app/your slow loading site for something that should be in by default. Apps are fine as an alternative/to build on stuff already in the game but not bothering to include them in the base game suck and leaving a little plz join our site is tacky and off putting imo

-fix the load times. they are terribly long. Also let us go directly to the tower(or explore mode) after a mission. Updating the tower without having to kick us out and log back would be nice too

-more rewards for exploring. So many empty caves or dead ends. I know this isn't diablo/borderlands but even the gear you rarely get looks the same. More loot in general esp from bosses/events is needed.

-increase the fov plz. it's very shallow/narrow.

-swipe touchpad up brings up map. down for sparrow summon(or waypoint). Right for friends/ppl nearby list. Left to highlight nearby drops incase you missed it.

-fix the lag/hit detection/netcode in pvp plz. Balance needs work too. Everyone has the same AR/sniper/fusion etc throwing knife/melee should do more damage as well in both modes imo

-clan system in game with option to join/send invites etc I assume this is coming though hopefully it works. Clan tag never showed during beta.

-capture should give more pts for getting and holding zones the kills. Also need a capture the flag mode.

-buff hunter grenades. They're weak compared to other classes.

-fix the turn speed, sprinting and general control clunkyness. The stick sensitivity can probably help a lil bit but the motion blur is too much past half way.

-sound, music etc options. Why is this not in by default?

-make getting glimmer easier. Only yellow enemies drop it by default. All should. Maybe give more for discarding gear too.

-clock for events, global announcements etc

-let us skip cutscenes and the tutorial

-more options for char creation, vendor stock etc. I've heard these were in the alpha and I dunno why they were removed. Let us name them too.

-weight all the crucible maps equally if you aren't going to let us choose them plz. I got the earth one 5 times in a row during the second iron banner event.
 
Better hairstyles to choose from? Seriously. Most of them look like hairdos from the 60's and 70's.
This game has the absolute best hair styles in any gave I've ever played. The Awoken male haircuts are super punk / new wave and I looooove it. The human haircuts are pretty bad, though.

I'm almost positive Bungie was planning on having space combat in Destiny. It would totally fit within the universe of the game. They tried it out in Reach, probably tried it out in Destiny, but for whatever reason it didn't make the cut. Maybe they had to prioritize other content, or maybe it just wasn't all that fun.
 
A button to quick travel directly to the Tower, rather than load, go back to orbit, wade through the menu and then select the Tower and load again.

Blood or a shield effect in multiplayer. More hit feedback in general would be nice, especially on bosses.

Buff the Handcannon/Pulse rifle so they are worthwhile as primary weapons.

Ability to skip cutscenes.

I just want some basic long hair on my awoken chick. A single braid or ponytail at least.

They took out some faces from the alpha too, so I'm hoping we're only seeing a very small percentage of the final customization.
 
Beef up the hand Cannon. It feels great to use but I feel I am gimping nuself by using it. Turn up the damage and reduce the reload.

Fusion rifle is fine. Pretty much a one hit kill.
 
Oh yeah, I thought of a small change. There are times when the menu cursor needs to be pointed to the left side of the screen to select one menu item, and then the next menu item is on the far right side of the screen, so you have to drag it all the way over there. Why? It's a minor detail, but it gets tedious. I haven't played since the Alpha (I'm on XB1), so I don't remember what part of the menu it was exactly. I do remember that when you select the Crucible, though, the cursor defaults to the far right side of the screen, rather than in the center of the gametype selections. Why make me scroll all that way. :-(

Am I the only one who wants a No Supers Playlist?
Nope, I want one too. I hope they have at least one "competitive / balanced" list with a variety of gametypes.
 
Load times, they are ugly and can become very annoying.
Make use of the ds4 touch pad for fast commands, why i have to press it and then hold square to summon my ride?
Is stupid, make it a swipe down, a swipe up for orbit, now feels really cluncky.
Add a dynamic map that show the area you have explored.

Skippable cutscenes.
Rotate character during character creation.
Warp directly to the Tower instead of having to go to "space" first.
 
replace Dinklage with someone competent and likable.

His execution when saying "Fallen and Hive" on the strike sounds so bad. I swear I thought he said "Fallen Enhive" the first few times and wondered what the fuck an Enhive is.

Otherwise he's fine...but seriously any decent actor could do his lines, they really didn't need to drop the big bucks for Dinklage. Nathan Fillion is like the only memorable and charismatic voice out of the characters.

At least the moon wizard line was funny. This one is just awkwarrrrd.

I think we can all agree that the worst delivery was "It can't be, it's the hive...!".

Thankfully they chopped that from the game it seems.

The only comment I have thusfar is the lack of local co-op.
But I guess I can tell my girlfriend to finally put some hours into her WiiU.

I'm starting to think he was purposely written to be dry, straight-forward and a bit, I guess "obtuse" is the word. He really doesn't speak intelligently, witty or sarcastically (although he did in the first E3 trailer). Now he's just kinda... boring, but in a more inflected way than a traditional AI or Robot.

It's very likely just bad dialog though. I do like him, but I wish he would say things that'd blow my mind instead of just be another voice in my head. I wonder where Bungie's Halo 2 writers went. Every line in that game was gold and I can bring up any of them on cue.
 
Give the Warlocks pinky rings as their unique costume wear. The armbands are way too in your face.

My buddy joined my fireteam while I was in the Tower and he wanted to show off his character's new cloak, but there was a Warlock standing off to the side of him and all I could notice were the intricate details of his enormous armband.

I'm glad Bungie was able to hit 1080p on the Xbox One, because they're going to need that resolution to show off all of those sweet armband details.

Another change I'd suggest is remodeling the vaults in the Tower to at least double their current size, because there's no physical way those things in their current incarnation could store more than one armband.

Wasn't Joe Staten the primary writer for all things Halo? Including the good (Halo 2) and the utterly horrendous ( Halo 3's Sergeant Johnson vs. Guilty Spark) bit.

I'm not particularly excited for Destiny's story, but it's not downright offensive to me like it is for some other people.
 
Make the grimoire stuff available in-game by either menu or having a library in the tower. I just find it silly for it not to be there in the game itself but on a separate website.
 
More of a bug I'd say, but make the PVE mission rewards based off time in the mission.

I completed 3 story missions, got better rewards, and better xp by joining on friends at the last second unintentionally.

It really sucked to progress while missing missions.
 
Does anyone know the level cap yet? If it is 20 I wonder are they going to increase the level cap with the release of big expansions ala WOW?
 
i also don't like how the character slides the lock, (not sure if that's even the correct phrase), when reloading even where there's still a bullet in the chamber.

Yeah, I know he's supposed to be a robot and all, but it really does sound like he's simply reading lines off a piece of paper and could care less. I will say that the silly sounding names of everything in Destiny doesn't help matters much either, though.

Yeah, Battlefield 4 kind of spoiled me with different reload animations for chambered and unchambered rounds. I didn't expect it so much in Destiny since Bungie has never done that, but a part of me was still a little disappointed. I'm pretty picky with my gun porn though.
 
I hope Bungie changes up the way that enemies spawn in story and explore mode. After a while, it becomes very predictable and you know exactly what to expect in each location. It would be nice if there were multiple sets of enemy spawn locations/numbers/types/etc per area. That way each time you go around exploring, you'd see something new.
 
I'm not sure as of yet, because it's still hard to get an idea how much content they'll be in full release compared to now. I mean the Alpha is no different to the Beta in most respects, there are more missions but the area's you visit and things you find are practically identical.

The level cap of 20 seems to low but i was talking to someone and apparently you can go higher than that, like 20+1 or something, i dunno, sounded a bit confusing without seeing it.
