Someone remind me: does SSBB allow for custom soundtracks like Excitetruck?
As far as we know it doesnt (I believe). What it does allow is for you to customize what soundtracks you want to play on each level.

So does anybody else find themselves quickly losing sanity during this wait for Brawl? I can't figure out what to do to pass the time. I mean, a few days ago I had put together that huge list of stuff I want to do and be excited by. Yesterday I collected Colette quotes to permeate Sunday's statistics post. Earlier today I went hunting across YouTube to find all that Pokemon music and link the songs in here as a wishlist. Tonight I went back through the list from a few days ago and sorted it by a very rough order that I'd be able to do things (e.g. playing around with and understanding all the changes to my favorite characters could take months, so actually fulfilling that part of the wishlist is like a sixth-tier priority).

Now I'm attempting to figure out workable taunt messages for all my favorite characters and so far it's not going well.

On another note... I don't remember if anyone noticed this initially, but there are four messages, and only three different taunts--left or right equals the same taunt, apparently. Oh well.

Most of us are hoping, none of us know either way.

...Ohhhhh yeaaaaaaaaah. :D

Me? I'm just doing things like playing through KSS, Earthbound and playing the original SSB to satiate the gamer in me, while also looking forward to other stuff coming out soon...such as Kunio-kun Dodge Ball DS and ASW's new pretty looking 2D game, BlazBlue.

I wish I could play SSB. VC release already, please?

I would brick my pants if we got SSB, EB, and Majora's Mask in one week (if only because I'd have to buy two Wii Points cards)

Goodness, Firestorm. You'll be in the asylum in a week.

Myself, I'm playing through plenty of classic Nintendo games (as well as Sonic 2... :D) and occasionally reading some of the earlier posts in this thread.

They're pretty much the same as the discussions we have now.

I'm seriously beginning to wonder why Sakurai absolutely hates Yoshi. It's not like Yoshi has done anything bad to deserve that kind of treatment. Also, judging by the footage of Brawl, I can clearly see that he will suck again.

Poor Yoshi.

I've seen some of your posts there, I wondered why you would lower yourself to the standards of GameFAQs. Those guys are complete dumbasses. :lol

I've been playing No More Heroes, and I'll probably play some more StarTropics soon. Listening to Sonic music, and watching MST3K or Tailspin. My sanity has long since left without even a letter saying good bye. Seems like Brawl will never get here.

I guess Sakurai never forgave Yoshi for Yoshi's Story.

It's sort of entertaining. Also I'm procrastinating so I do weird shit. I got my start at GameFAQs. 2300 karma or something now. I found GAF through GFAQs too.

:lol Are you Firestorm88 (or something) over there? I think I've seen a couple of your posts. It is indeed madness inducing. And Jiggy... you need help. That OCD of yours has pretty much reached its peak these past days, or maybe it did with D/P release, who knows... but regardless, that's some serious issue you've got, I imagine your room filled with paper-cut articles of Brawl, underlined sentences, nonsensical graffiti... that sort of thing.

Although I do have to admit, I've spent more hours than I'd like refreshing this and other SSBB-related threads waiting for new replies, checking brawlcentral, that wii.com page, gamefaqs... D: I think I've never been so obsessed about a game since Pokemon R/S came out...

I also started in GameFAQs, but eventually made my way here. I even had a pre-release FF3 sticky going at the game's board :lol

Well, Gamefaqs is not that bad. Sure, 98% of the people there suck and have no idea of what they're doing but the other 2% can be decent people if you know where to go.

Also, Gfaqs is always good for a laugh or two every once in a while.

I think I found GAF via the IGN boards.

He's infringing on Kirby's "eat everything" turf.

This sounds like a good idea. Actually, you've given me an idea. I should put together a cross-comparison of those top three attacks from Famitsu and the weight listings, to figure out what the average KO power is and then weigh which characters will have an above- or below-average ability to KO, and and and yeah.

The bass in that is so awesome, as YouTube commenters like to point out. And don't forget the stage in between those two:

Chemical Plant

And then the stage after Aquatic Ruin has awesome music as well:

Casino Night

I'm going to stop now before I end up posting every song from the first three games. :lol

The difference between you and I in this case is that I don't know when to quit (list up to 2001 now). :D

I'm just dying to know how you came to that conclusion.

We being people who live in Asia.

Again, I look forward to seeing your impressions. Especially after your amusing impressions for the likes of BASARA 2 and Heroes.

Any way, I'll gladly do my part for the thread...once my game arrives.

I'm kinda disappointed that it seems we'll go the length of the Dojo updates without knowing what (if any) N64 stages are being brought over. Re-imagined Silph Co. would make this my game of the forever. Japanese release please hurry.

Silph Co. is the only stage from 64 I really want, since any other 64 stage I want can either be remade in Stage Editor, or has appeared in Melee in some manner.

Personally, I don't want any N64 stages. I'd rather they make a brand new stage like Silph Co. - namely, Pokémon Field. Have a city on one side of the stage, a grassy area with a pond, and a cave on the other side. I mean, at least it'd make sense.

No. Pokemon randomly coming out of elevators is AWESOME

I'd like it if we got that level seen in the final part of the SSB64 intro, right before all the characters "clash" (then the four hidden ones show up), that grassy field in a storm. Reminds me of that Street Fighter Alpha stage.

It comes out in Hon Kong in just 2 days. Now if we can only find some Hong Kongians to be motivated enough to answer our one million questions.
My girl is in HK right now, if I can convince her to buy a Wii, Smash Bros, and take up an interest in playing either... !!!

Hm, is this confirmed?

No, but it's pretty much the trend for any games released in HK. Any where between now and Tuesday, the game will hit the streets of Hong Kong.

More than likely, even if the situation of units being in short supply in Japan gets bad, I'm willing to bet that Nintendo would be willing to make a few of their home grown fans sad, if it meant curbing HK pirates from "setting sail on the torrential seas" (for a lil while longer) by providing the region with a couple thousand units, to keep them from losing all strains of profit in that region.

...So...all eyes on you, my dear Play-asia. Get those units!

You know how you can tell if a song is awsome or not? If you haven't heard it in over 10 years and you still know every fucking note. Thanks for that.

Silph Co is still the best SSB stage in any of the games and I was pissed that it wasn't in Melee. I'll still be pissed if it isn't in Brawl.

Good stage, but an utter disaster if you were playing Ness

Iit wasn't as hard on Ness as Fourside was. I'm not sure which of the two stages I prefer, actually. Fourside is from Mother 2 and has godly music, but Saffron City has giant pixel-art Porygon launching out of the building at people.

You know, even though I love Pokemon so much that I skip straight past fanboy and into fangirl, the Pokemon elevator was really the least important element of Saffron City to me. I just liked its completely territorial design, with high grounds all over the place and mid-stage bottomless pits. I won't mind recreating it in Stage Editor if I have to.

Hope there are going to be 64 stages, silph co would be great, having pokes that dont appear in pokeballs attack from the building, It would be cool to watch ho-oh attacking the Silph co HQ *-*
