They probably didn't show the character who summoned him because the person who calls an assist trophy character wouldn't be affected. It would look kind of weird to have, say, Samus just standing next to Dr. Wright while the other three are getting smacked by the skyscrapers.

Changing place with the assist trophy-character at least makes them different from pokeballs, so that´s a good thig. Also, that means you´re invinceble while your trophy dies its work

I calmed down after I realized he's an assist trophy. I love obscure references in my items!
The Dojo needs better update headers -- you wouldn't guess it from looking at the page without seeing that small image in the corner.

we'll probably find out at e3 though because i'm sure they'll be in a trailer.

The last trailer showed characters able to destroy the three platforms floating above the main area. Perhaps they have all been destroyed to show the effect of Dr. Wright's attack better? Or maybe the skyscrapers themselves can smash stuff. :O
Also, hell yes Dr. Wright as an assist trophy!! I loved Super Sim City and I love this fellah. I wonder exactly how vague they'll be getting with assist trophy characters?

It says under the Nintendogs trophy assist that it hurts you too so who knows what that means then.

In that quote, he's playing off the fact that someone visiting the Web site's first impression will be, "Why would I want to use that Nintendog? It'll be in my way, too!" Considering Sakurai's sense of humor in these updates, it would be more likely that he was being coy and you wouldn't actually care about the 'dog blocking your view when you play the game -- because your character disappears.
