Speaking of Master Hand, I totally dont see him as the last boss anymore ... just not iconic enough, I think hell be a sub boss.

I don't see why everyone seems to consider Master Hand some kind of main Smash Bros villain... The Hands weren't even present in the Adventure mode from Melee.

They'll probably will return in "Classic" mode or its substitute and that will be it, I think. They don't even seem to fit very well with the dull colors of the Subspace Army.

Nephenee would be fantastic. Her design is ace, she's female (what a lot of people are clamoring for), she's a badass wielding a lance and is overall just my favourite character from FE9, Ike and Soren included.

It's a shame that her chances to be in Brawl are close to nil. I'm realistic, she won't be in, not as an assist, sticker, anything.

Regarding Nephenee, while she is indeed awesome and your only good option for a Halberdier, she is far from the 'best non-Ike' unit in the game, as someone mentioned. That title goes to Sothe, who can actually do a solo run faster than Ike.

I bank on Zihark, though. Got a softspot for badass Swordmasters.

That said, if more FE characters are going to be playable, I stand by my initial claim that it should be Ika (granted), Hector and Ephraim. That way, it's not all sword users.

But they do all have blue hair >_>

Sad, but true. Her best bet would be a sticker, but thats probably not even going to happen anyway..... *sigh*

I think though most of the FE slots are filled though a couple stickers will go through I know. For characters and AT, I may be wrong, but that really might be all that Sakurai will put in....

Actually, that's why I think that Eliwood has pretty good chances. Red hair, not a swordsman, but wields a rapier (which means more of a fencing style would be possible for him), is a FE lord and appears in 2 FE games (although one is just a cameo). Perfect Roy replacement.

Eliwood's main is swords, though. Although I agree red hair does boost his chances considerably.

That's cool. I'd be fine if they give him a lance to wield, or maybe a combination of both fighting styles? It's all about the variety. And since Ike is so similar to Marth... maybe Roy will get replaced by an equally similar character - Eliwood would fit that bill.

Hmm... I worked at EB for over two years and I do remember that the managers did indeed get to go to special events like this to preview upcoming games. (They often came back with free swag and games too - my old manager brought me back a free copy of Mario and Luigi for GBA two full weeks before its release. Had a little "not for resale" sticker on the game cart. )

Of course even if this is all true and the retail conference is going on right now, I'd still be skeptical about Brawl being playable there. If anything the release date might just be mentioned and so on... we'll have to see.

I think the Black Knight will be in as a playable character. It fits with the whole "every character seems to have their arch-nemesis in the game" thing. I think he has a very good chance. He definently stands out.
