And it's not about us 'growing up', it's about boneheaded moves...if the bull's already aggrivated, don't go waving the red cape around outside the ring and then be surprised when the bull busts through the railing.

As for what you said..yeah, SFA was a good adventure game with the StarFox universe shoehorned into it by Nintendo. People don't give it credit because of the communities that have picked up on the character designs and have led to shots like the one you posted (and others).

You know now that I think about it she might just be an assist trophy. Also, didn't Slippy and Peppy make cameo appearances in Melee? Maybe this is the same situation.

By jamming the dpad you could summon them. Just because she lists it as a credit doesn't mean HOW she is involved.
Hell, for all we know it could be a Starfox stage in singleplayer where ALL the voices come up as usual.

Look, people don't exactly hate Krystal because she's a furry. People hate bad characters. Fox and Falco are furries, and they're generally liked because they're likable characters. They have individual and differentiated personalities that fit their world and their role in it.

Krystal, on the other hand, is an anachronism in the Star Fox universe. In a technologically advanced, science fictional society, Krystal, as a tribal, primitive, semi-telepathic character, simply doesn't fit the established rules of the Lylat system. What's worse is how Nintendo shoehorned her into the main cast following Star Fox Adventures, even marginalizing one of the cornerstone characters of the series, Peppy. This is a character, by her very design, that has no business flying around in an Arwing and blowing things up in the name of justice. But that's exactly what Nintendo has her doing.

Krystal's personality is also very bland. Throughout her debut game, she was given the role of basically a glorified damsel in distress. When the time came to put her into Assault, Namco failed to develop her beyond what she was. The result was a lifeless shell of a wingman who had little role other than to occasionally point out a boss's weak point. The result was that when Command was made, a game with a heavily character and choice driven story, Krystal's actions became more bizarre and inexplicable than the rest of the game, because she had no personality to make sense of her actions.

The sexualized portrayal of Krystal is also rather disturbing. Having her clad in nothing but a glorified bikini top and a loincloth in Adventures was bad enough. But when all her art depicts her in suggestive poses clad in a skintight bodysuit...well, on an anthropomorphic fox, that's just disgusting. Good Lord, not even Rouge the Bat was given that kind of portrayal.

And those are my thoughts on Krystal. Let's hope I never need to discuss her again.

He's surprised because he gave posters on gaf the benefit of the doubt that they weren't furious charging beasts, but in fact rational human beings.

I'd rather have Katt two times over, as far as Star Fox girls go.
But I think you'd find that a great number of us who hate Krystal want more girls in the game. Just not her specifically.
