I'd love a Luigi's Mansion stage. Really underappreciated game (and the hazards could be very interesting).

For the Mario characters, I'd like to see...

Mario - Delphino Plaza, of course
Princess Peach - Princess Peach's castle (front - we had above and on top, so why not in front this time?)
Bowser - Super Mario Bros. 3 (Doom Ship theme)
Luigi - Luigi's Mansion
Yoshi - Yoshi's Island, of course
Bowser Jr. (we all know he's coming) - dunno

There should be a Navi AT.
She would stick with one of the characters and keep going "HAY LITHEN HAY LITHEN", which would drive said character crazy and you would have to mash the buttons in order to keep your character from jumping off the stage.

I don't know where you got the lisp from :lol :lol

Also with the Luigi's Mansion idea will Luigi like Mario get his down B replaced, in this case with the Poltergeist 3000? Seems like a rather obvious choice.

I want them to use this model. I really like the WW ganondorf model, but Ganondorfs TP model is the best one. This is what they'll probably end up using.

If they're going to make him transform into Ganon for his final smash, then they should make him transform into ganon from Twilight Princess. Its the one thats most relevent to the ganondorf TP model and its the nicest look ganon model too. I'm really not sure if they'll make a ganon transformation as Ganon's final smash though. They;re already making Bowser transform into giga bowser, so manye they dont want to give another character a very similar final smash.

They'll definitely have ganondorf, and they'll definitely use this model (probably touched up more anyways with higher res textures)

I agree, transforming to ganon would be much too similar to Gigabowser. I'd expect him to use the triforce of power, or some sort of dark magic attack

Never thought of that. They already have a Mario Sunshine stage, why not a Luigi's Mansion stage?

It would be Luigi's first stage Evar! :lol He deserves it.

They had a luigi's mansion Mario Kart DS level right? Hopefully one in SSBB!

No Wolf Link. We don't need two versions of TP Link.

They're two completely different characters (hint: one's a wolf with an imp on his back). Saying that you don't need two versions of TP Link would be like saying that you don't need two versions of OoT Zelda. Is Sheikh anything like Zelda? Didn't think so :P

Uh, Sheik was a transformation. A Wolf Link character would be a waste of space, and I don't want another trillion TP characters in SSBB.

I mean, would you ask for a separate Ganon, Shadow Mario, or Raichu character?

Wolf Link would be such a waste considering how big and rich the franchise is. Tingle and WW Link are better choices, IMO.

Exactly. The Zelda series representation shouldn't be filled with Twilight Princess stuff, especially not two versions of the same character.

Mario Power Tennis and Mario Kart DD as well. Also Luigi with the poltergeist was a trophy in SSBM.
Nintendo hasn't forgotten Luigi's Mansion so I see a stage being based on it quite likely.

Well to be fair I thought that Wolf Link would be a transformation originally. And even though Sheikh wasn't on the character select screen, that doesn't make her less of a "waste of space" as you put it.

Anyway, I'd like to see him in because A) he's a major part of a Zelda game (bigger than Sheikh was in OoT, considering she wasn't playable), and B) because he'd actually be interesting to play as. Half of his special moves would be Midna-mediated...very cool.

You can't really compare wolf Link to Ganon, Shadow Mario, or Raichu. Get serious.

The neverending staircase would be awesome as long as you couldn't get smashed off in whatever direction was "up."

I was thinking something like this. Wouldn't it be awesome to have a Raphael the Raven Moon stage where the only way to KO your opponents was by Star KOing them? Smashing them left and right would only make them satellites. :lol

I see.

So give me a single good reason Ganon shouldn't be a separate character.

He has absolutely nothing in common with Ganondorf besides the obvious plot connections. Different attacks, different weight, different everything.

So either you're wrong or you're saying that Ganon would be better for Brawl than Wolf Link.

And Sheik is a major aspect of Zelda in her most significant appearance, so they made Sheik a transformation for her. How can you compare a transformation being a Down B move to a transformation being its own character?

I don't care if Ganon in or not. I'm just saying that I spent half of a major Zelda game controlling Wolf Link, it makes sense that he deserves a spot in Brawl. I'm not saying that he absolutely has to be in the game, but denying him on your grounds doesn't make much sense.

I'm going to leave this one alone because it has nothing to do with anything.

I see your point, but it's really kind of trivial. Ideally he'd be a transformation, but even if he isn't it's not like the laws of the universe have been broken.

We don't need SSBB to be filled with TP characters, we don't need two of the exact same character, we don't need a transformation be its own character. The only times when we've seen a character appear twice is with Mario/Dr. Mario and Link/Young Link, but both were clones.

Besides all of those, I simply wouldn't want him in. Midna's a cool character, and I want TWW Link in to break the chain of "TP characters". If we were to get TWW Link and include Wolf Link, that would be three different versions of Link.

I find it to be a waste of space, simply put. If anyone was put in, I would want to see JUST Midna. Have her be a floaty character like Mewtwo was, her energy hand used for grabbing, etc.

It's barely been a page since the last time I was in here and yet I still have no idea what happened in this thread. :|

But as far as WW Link goes, he really deserves a spot--he's been in two major Zelda games instead of one like Midna (as much as I like Midna) or Wolf Link, and he's also been in a Zelda game even more recent than Twilight Princess. Besides that, he's got an interesting style and a more acrobatic battle performance than SSB Link.

I don't really see what the difference is whether she's alone or on top of the wolf. Yes he's Link, but so what? It's like Akai says, so long as they have different move sets I don't care how many they throw in.

When I say I want WW Link in, I'm not saying that I want a clone. I'm sure there's plenty of original moves Sakurai can throw in. So even if they all make it, that would be two versions of regular Link plus a crazy wolf/imp thing. Plus Zelda and Ganondorf. I can see why you'd be upset at the 5 of them taking up too much space, but they're iconic enough to deserve it in my opinion.

Besides, I'd rather them use these major characters than throwing in oddballs like MewTwo (can't fault Mr. Game & Watch though...a lot of love went into that little guy).

Thats the pacman everyone knows and loves. Making mistakes like playable pacman, slime or goomba will cheapen brawl IMO. Reserve them for assist.
Well the Pac-Man World games did make it the sequel #3. So it's obvious that this Pac-Man model does have its fanbase. Also the Wii will be seeing a new game featuring this Pac-Man model as well.

1. I want variety - the only reason I'd want cel-shaded Link is because A. I'm a Wind Waker fan, and B. It would be an interesting character, what with the cel-shading. However, TP fans already have something for them - they've got TP Link, TP Zelda, and most likely TP Ganondorf. Midna should be her own character, she shouldn't be a part of Link.

2. But I don't want the game to be filled with a million Zelda/Mario/Pokémon characters, we need more room for Lip, Starfi, and Balloon Fighter.

3. Mewtwo? He's probably the second most well-known Pokémon ever made. He was the strongest in the first three generations, he was the "final boss" of Pokémon RB, and he had two movies that focused on him. That's definitely not a minor character.

Ideally Wolf Link should have been Links down-B transformation replacing his bomb move. Wolf Link is not very likely now IMO.

WW Link for sure deserves a spot in Brawl. He was listed in the character request list. He has an interesting look that sets him apart from the other fighters and his move set would be different enough compared to TP Link. WW was popular and Phantom Hourglass came out. He's in.

Wind Waker Link has a great chance of getting in, and I'd love to see it happen. Brawl needs more cell shaded characters. I'm still holding out for a Young Zelda/Tetra character, but I'd settle for an assist trophy there.

I used to hope for a cel-shaded Tingle character, but I decided that it's not going to happen after seeing the Tingle trophy. So I hope in place for Midna or no one else.

1. Seriously, I'm not seeing how Midna on her own has more of a variety value than her + the wolf. It's a wolf for crying out loud. Plus, that's how they were in the game...there's groundwork here.

2. Point taken, but I've never heard of the first two games. I found out about the third via Melee...but I guess you still have a point.

3. My mistake, I'll give you that one.

Anyway...

Ideally there's enough room for everyone. I don't care as much about representation as I do about having a variety of movesets, so that's why I wouldn't mind seeing the wolf. Hopefully you'll get whoever it is that you want to see in as well. Peace.

I kind of want an item that makes any character cel-shaded, but... yeah. That's not happening. We've already seen the Special Brawl screen anyway and it wasn't on there.

Or just 8-bit for some. Man, that would be cool.

What are the chances of getting a something related to Holloween this week? I can't think of any updates that would relate to it other than the Kirby FS and Ashley theme that we already got.

Said it earlier somewhere, but I want Mr. Game and Watch's final smash to involve him turning his opponents into sprites before abusing them. :D

Game and Watch's Final Smash...I hadn't thought about that. What the heck would he do? The sprite idea is good, if a little unlikely.
