I still think there will be another one.

How awesome would a spherical Mario Galaxy planet-type level be?

"Walking" all over the entire level (3d level, "2d" playing field).

They would probably have to do a separate physics engine for the entire level ,but would it ever be awesome.

The question now is, will Sakurai announce another Newcomer to make an even block of 12 Newcomers (which would tie the number of Veterans announced), or will he go for a Veteran (starting a new line), which we haven't had in a long time?

I have a feeling he is saving many of the Veterans for the release--perhaps he is holding all of the returning Vets that haven't been announced.

So...I predict New Challenger: Ridley!

I want to see a level based on New Super Mario Bros. with a brawl arrangement of the Walking The Plains.

I'm hoping tonight will either be a new character or a new tune.

I think a new character this week is a good guess. When is the question.

Also, the updates should be an hour earlier too. I might actually be able to catch a few.

I'm expecting a new character as well, but not until Wednesday. It's a sort of tradition for new characters: Ike, Diddy Kong, and Sonic. (Also Wario and Meta Knight if factoring in E3 2006 newcomers.)

I think we'll finally see Captain Falcon this week. Of course, I have no grounds for thinking so other than my cousin's best friend's sister's father's dentist's cousin twice removed's brother-in-law WORKS AT NINTENDO AND TOLD ME SO

Segata Sanshiro would make an awesome assist trophy, and then to add a twist the thrower has to hold on to a Sega Saturn that can be beaten out of his hands (and the new holder would be able to avoid getting beaten up) while Segata pile drives the fighters into mushroom clouds and them off of the stage.

And am I right about the fact that the updates come 1 hour earlier because of the whole fun daylight savings thing? (Japan doesn't do it...)

afaik, i dont think a classic item has appeared as an update (minus the bumper from SSB)

Im banking on a double update, Veteran: Ganondorf + new Zelda music

We're obviously due for a character this week, and Monday and Friday are the biggest character days unless I'm much mistaken.

Captain Falcon or Game and Watch tonight. Or if we're extra good, Sakurai might give us a newcomer, but along with everyone else I think it's going to be the Captain.

Don't even joke. He's in, it's just... it's so obvious that Sakurai finds it too stupid to confirm to us, since it's so clear he's in. He's in. Captain Falcon will be in the game.

Tuesday: Bowser, Yoshi
Wednesday: Mario, Link, Wario, Ike, Diddy Kong, Meta Knight, Sonic
Thursday: Kirby, Pikachu, Donkey Kong, Zero Suit Samus, King Dedede
Friday: Pit, Samus, Peach, Ice Climbers, Snake

I agree, this week we will see something very shitty like jump height depending on how you press the button, and something great like.....

Ei, when cast out it causes all star fox character to cry, while some others to become enraged and begin shouting incoherently about the death of the Starfox series and Furries, while also causing others to shout that it's not that bad-- for the rest of the match. No one is immune, and only the players suffer.

About time someone else picked up on this... I've said it twice and noone said anythin! Haha.
I believe Japan time comes 1 hour earlier than usual. So yeah, 11PM Pacific me thinks...?

Just going to ask this question, except for eastern time zone.. does this mean updates are 2 am now?

No it's 2am. We moved time back an hour. Means I'll be up for more updates and that the updates I do stay up for, I'll lose less sleep over. Happy Times all around. Also, am I the only one who thinks Casino Night Zone was kind of meh in the music department? Especially compared to FLying Battery, Hydrocity and various other Zones.
