PkunkFury said:yeah, the more I think about it, the more this will make break the target more interesting. Especially with the community posting and sending vids back and forth. People will porbably be re-discovering the best character for each stage for years by besting the current records

Not to mention trying to get the best times with each character as well.PkunkFury said:yeah, the more I think about it, the more this will make break the target more interesting. Are there any fighting games that have this feature?Iam Canadian said:The reason I don't consider this a megaton isn't necessarily because it was a "stealth" megaton. Rather, it's because it's not the kind of update that stands on its own. Really, the idea of replays and sharing them is just a logical extension of the Hundredton (the WiFi update) and the screenshots update.

Yeah I'm really hoping it turns out okay.Insaniac said:thinking about it, i really hope to god you can save entire match replays onto an SD card instead of being limited to 3 minutes. it just doesn't make sense why they'd limit it.
It makes sense if he's referring to 3 minutes of replay to be sent via wifi. Like for example you could watch your old replays, and record 3 minutes out of that replay to send.
Yeah. I forget which one though, one of the 3d ones, probably VF. I remember somebody made a conversion engine where you could upload your replays to the site, and it would convert them to video for you. I have no idea how because that seems like magic, but whatever.CreatureX3 said:Are there any fighting games that have this feature?
I know! Every single feature I could have possibly wanted from this game is in! So happy!miyuru said:This game does everything right it seems. Whenever you think to yourself "it'd be sweet if they include this or that" they actually do.
For some reason im drawing a blank what other fighters have a replay mode.Iam Canadian said:According to some other posts in this thread, apparently yes.
Although Jiggy does have a point. I guess if enough people consider it a megaton, then it's a megaton. For the record, though, I don't personally consider Pokemon Trainer a megaton either, although I'm willing to "officially" call it that.![]()
It makes me very happy, however, which automatically makes it a megaton as normally I don't really care that much about the updates.Staccat0 said:sharing replays was a megaton 3 years ago. Now its a standard feature IMO.
Kelsonk said:In this case, I would say target practice got a whole lot worse. What's the point of playing the same stage with any character? It makes trying to get a high score pointless except with the fastest character. When target levels were specialized for each character, at first it was like you were trying to solve a puzzle with each target, and then once you figured it out you could tweak it to go faster and faster. Now it's going to be some boring stages that are going to have to accomodate EVERY character in the game.
I could be wrong, maybe it's a false memory or something. I was pretty sure though.Chumly said:For some reason im drawing a blank what other fighters have a replay mode.
Well it's not really clear in the update, but I'm thinking that every character will still have their own unique 'Target Smash' maps.Dreavus said:I was mostly referring to the replays, but yeah thats true too.
I guess they'll probably have separate high scores with each character for one to try and beat, kind of like the home run contest: you didn't have just one high score, or Ganondorf would pretty much clean up and every other character would be pointless. Instead they have individual high scores and also a total score for all your characters' records combined. That's the direction I see them taking this time.

You dare doubt the power of Sakurai?WildArms said:150+ stages?

I hope I'm right too! :lolWildArms said:I hope you are right, what more can I say. That's what I thought at first too and was like OMG HOLY SHIT but then I came here and read the responses, then went back and looked at the update, and thought "oh, oh yeah".
You can also confirm the overall layout by pausing.
I think that means you can see the entire map/targets when you pause the game.:Motorbass said:Yeah and what does that mean:
I'll bitch if I want. Fuck off.flipping_heck said:People complaining 3 minutes worth of replay, just be thankful we have Replays!! Stop bitching!

kamikaze said:why shouldn't people complain!!! sakurai is obviously being a cheapass or lazy or just stupid by holding us to 3 minutes.
it's not like there are any technical requirements to saving replays...you should be able to save infinitely...all they have to do is use the wii's purple pikmin powered infinite storage drive!!! bastards.
WordAssassin said:Are we sure he doesn't mean five SETTINGS for the target stages? Each picture shows a different backdrop. If each Target Stage is just targets and platforms I don't see how that could possibly take up a lot of space if it uses all the same assets and backgrounds, just different placements.
Exactly. Then he shows a forest map, a field map, and a desert map. Maybe each backdrop = different difficulty?scottnak said:Well... it says "five different maps of varying difficulty"...
Look at the option down in the middle:Wii said:Hopefully we can save the replays to SD so we can archive them
And you can spam it across your friends listJocchan said:Look at the option down in the middle:

You can be happy with a product in general and complain about aspects of it. I have been hoping for a replay feature for 2-3 years, and now it shows up with a limitation that makes it little use to me. I would be retarded to not complain. I can't believe I (a "mouthbreather") have to explain that.thetrin said:Christ. i cant believe you mouthbreathers are complaining!
A month ago we didnt even have online.
Now we have a feature that no fighter has, and you're not happy! What would possibly satisfy you?!
