I think one of the ideas for a stage I'm going to create is a tiny, one-man-sized platform stage and unleash 4-player mayhem on that.

Ultimate King Of The Hill there! Imagine how many kills you'll get after a 3-minute match of that.

...also I'm sorry for ever dissing the idea of a level editor for the game. But I still think a character creator would be stupid!

Didn't he said in an interview that a DS smash bros. is something he's thinking about?
I doubt that Sakurai will leave Nintendo after Smash Bros. Brawl. He left because they ruined the Kirby franchise and he wasn't given enough time to polish Smash Bros. Melee. Iwata seems to want all Nintendo's products to be perfect, just like in the old days. I can see Sakurai take over Miyamoto's job as EAD Supervisor.
