Good for gamers, period. More titles on cross platforms, less of a reason to shell out $$ to buy all of the consoles.
Wrong... bad, bad, bad... Why do people insist on everything being ported?

Since I already have a 360, this is good for me...and most everyone else
Oh... IC... and most everyone else? Last gen, Sony shipped 100+ million units... while there's 10m 360's shipped... Looks like everyone else is waiting for a reason to yet go next gen still...
Ports are bad... they don't push the envelope of the hardware... they don't take the time to get the most out of each individual machine, and do something different and special on each... People with the train of thought like what you have puts huge smiles on EA and Ubi's faces... They can just keep shoveling their wares...
Personally, ever since I was a teen, I was used to titles being on one machine and not the other... I worked to buy more than one console because I knew back then that there's benefits to having more than one machine, and always accepted a multiconsole gaming environment... That's why to this day I still have more than one console...
The PS3 and 360 maybe close in power, but they're obviously not the same machine... Just look at the disgusting ports we've received so far... base for the 360 = crappy running, PPE and 1SPE port on the PS3...
I want devs to focus on the assets each machine possesses and exploits them to the max... THAT'S when it's good for gamers... I'd rather have 10 GREAT AAA exclusive titles than 30 So-So ports thank you very much... Even if I to choose one machine, I'd choose the one where more of my fav exclusives are, end of story... not be a 360 fan, wishing MGS4, DMC4, and FFXIII show up as a half-fast port for both... Not being a PS3 fan wishing Dead Rising being ported over... There's too far and few in between ports which are taking advantage of specifics of machines like Ninja Gaiden Sigma...
