I think they had plans recently for an HD collection back when that book or whatever released but the HD collection never happened.

Well, they hired a guy from Obsidian that specifically notes in his Linkedin that he specializes in storytelling for open world RPG's. That doesn't necessarily confirm that's what it is, but he obviously didn't go there to work on Killzone or another FPS.

If it's about vampires I'd like it to be dark and gothic. They're become so lame in recent years; a sexy fantasy for women. I'd like vampires to go back to the base, violent, bloodthirsty beasts like Nomak from Blade 2.

I had no idea Sony owned Drakan (despite that I know they published The Ancient's Gates on PS2)! Yes, I'd love a new Drakan and I never understood why they didn't push forward with it, as I felt it had excellent foundations and with a little cultivation it could have been their premier fantasy action-adventure series, a la Zelda.
