It's funny because all Microsoft has to do is show how the family sharing thing works on Xbox One.
Should have been shown at the E3 conference.
The applause will be ground breaking.
Steam isn't a platform, it's a digital store/library. You're not forced to use it to game on Windows.I still don't understand everyone's reactions to this, since there are many DRM clients, such as Steam, which do not allow any lending or selling of purchased games, where as the Xbox One does...
That's not true, you can have two people play PSN games at once already.Plus no one complains about games bought from PSN/XBLA not being able to be sold/lent out, where as the Xbox One fixes that...

How far you've come, Sony marketing.
I dare them to air the sharing vid on TV. It might be iffy without context, but still.

There was some interview where Adam mentioned that he would have wanted it on the conference and showed it to Andrew House who shot down the idea even though he liked the video.
Adam Boyes talks about it in the giantbomb video where Evilore is also a guest when he crashed the party with the ps4.

Large corporations have yet to grasp how profound the internet's ability to detect bullshit is. Valve and Sony's straight talking and joke making resonate perfectly with their intended audience. MS and Nintendo both need to step it up and drop the hard sell crap.

So that Microsoft Engineer who posted anonymously said Microsoft are pushing for a digital future as it brings back money to the publishers and developers. This in turn means cheaper games for the consumers.saw this on sbnation

Steam has plenty of competition, though. If you're PC gaming, you have plenty of choice for where to get your games and some of those are completely DRM free. Greenmangaming (which allows you to trade-in non-Steam games), Origin, GOG, Humble Bundle, etc. Steam sales and a much better offline mode than 24 hour check-ins help too.I still don't understand everyone's reactions to this, since there are many DRM clients, such as Steam, which do not allow any lending or selling of purchased games, where as the Xbox One does...

How exactly is sharing one game with ten people going to help any of that?
That's 10 potentials copies reduced to 1!

Nintendo has been following a hard sell strategy?
Hell no. Their lacking inability to hard sell to both consumers and game developers is one of their biggest flaws.

That might have been a poor choice of words. I just mean a kind of arrogant stonewalling in interviews. The Reggie interview on GTTV, and whoever was interviewed by Patrick from Giantbomb were both really terrible.Nintendo has been following a hard sell strategy?

The video still makes me smile.
But not as much as the official highlights video for the xbox one reveal, with the massively red like bar and the URL that ends in "ps4"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L0HgsIf-ps4
No its not. It'll backfire horribly once the console comes out and we learn the giant BUT to the claim.
I never noticed this, any details on this multi not free anymore?Like at E3 when they took jabs at Microsoft for having DRM, and then used that as a cover to stealth announce their new multiplayer paywall.

And I still don't understand why people defending this POS keep comparing it to Steam when it's fucking apples and oranges.I still don't understand everyone's reactions to this, since there are many DRM clients, such as Steam, which do not allow any lending or selling of purchased games, where as the Xbox One does...
