-Octolings can also have roller-type weapons, not just guns.
The introduced enemies are (strongest to weakest):
-The giant box from the solo trailer is called 'Giant Weapon' in Japanese and is the strongest enemy introduced. You can see it has little Octarian legs in the image. It will try to body slam/crush you.
-Octolings, who have the same skills as Inklings
-2-Legged Octarians, which are stronger than single-legged Octarians.
-'Divers' with diving masks on, so they can dive into the ink.
-'Octocopters' (Takopter in JP), who have propellors on their heads to make them float and difficult to attack.
-The rotund 'Octoball' enemies, with one eye, who move around spreading inking.
-Finally, 'Octopods', little robot like enemies who will chase you down and explode ink all over you.
-The point out that you can see a giant, octopus-shaped structure on the cliffs in the background of the shot of Octo Valley.
-You can use the pools of ink to perform super jumps while in squid form.
-You can shoot at propellers to make the raft your on move.

I just didn't bother with stuff we already knew from Tweets.
Also the special gear they talk about for Hero Mode is almost certainly the special 'Hero Suit' that the protag wears.
Apologies if this was already posted but there's this video in-game comparing guns and oh my god looks so nice and smooth and I love the shooting sound effects and everything!

You know I don't think this game is going to be as amazing as I feel people are making it out to be (it will certainly be in my top 5 and I will love it) but if there is one thing that blows me away it's this game's style.
From that sneaker ad and the sleeping cat this game is just so on point with its look. It's super impressive.
Amiibo clothes and shoes. Put the label on the gamepad to get the same piece of outfit in the game.
How on earth did I miss that.... thanks for the translations!

Not to nit-pick because it's a great translation, but I think they mean 'casual style', not a rough one. At least, that is my understanding of ラフ.

NintendoTweet posted a retail listing from a South African retailer that lists Amiibos of the Girl and Boy Inklings, as well as an Amiibo bundle of the game.

Obvious, since Miyamoto also worked on this game. And Pikmin wasn't the first game with death animations like this, so, no problem :b

I find the flicking ink from the roller aspect to be pretty amusing. Gotta love how their clothes fall to the ground when killed too.
And painted. The little details matter.
That's these little details that get me so hyped up for this game. It really shows how much effort Nintendo puts into the game.
