I am simply referring to the decisions like this one, which make a certain crowd happy and a certain crowd not happy (in general). So back to my question, do you think those decisions are good from a profit perspective? I firmly lean towards no on that one.

Also, come on now! You really don't agree this decision was made specifically to satisfy a particular crowd? Designers getting told by an ethics (or whatever the proper translation is) department to shrink the ta ta's. It couldn't be any more stinking obvious why the decision was made.

No I don't agree it was made to satisfy a particular crowd. There's a lot of money riding on this game. What makes you think satisfying that particular crowd equals profits? It is actually possible that Square overall feel like 34C cup boobs are a perfect look for new age Tifa.

Besides there are women who are thin but who have big boobs. Isn't this discriminating them if that body form is considered unethical?
Basically there is no reason to make anyone attractive in any other way either. Why attractiveness through boob size is worse than attractiveness through pretty eyes? Is being attracted to boobs more unethical than being attracted to pretty eyes?

This isn't about discriminating. You are arguing in bad faith. This is about designing a character that looks and fits in with the overall look of the main cast. And attractiveness through boobs is fine. Have you actually looked at Tifa's new design? She doesn't have small boobs.

20 some odd years ago, I can see that they needed something and boob polygons was the best they can do. It was either boob polys or flat chest. Now we have the graphics to make pretty much anything. If Square wanted to make "more realistic" models, then I can see them toning down the breasts like how they did in KH. Boobs if you do, boobs if you don't.

Has there been any outcry for Cloud's massive forearms? I think they should have kept that instead of some pencil arms cause it's not true to the original.

WTF ethics department can influencing the way the game been designed to the extend of what some female character can wear when fighting just because of her huge tits.

AFAIK if that undergarment is sports bra, that clearly can make boobs looks smaller too because of the pressure from that thing. So it is not clearly wrong if someone just assume the boobs size been reduced because the effect of the adding the sports bra.
