The 3DS had two Dragon Quest games so far. We got neither. Square Enix dropped Dragon Quest VI, Nintendo had to pick it up.

Dragon Quest hasn't really been steady here for a few years.

Honestly, for me, I never had a HUGE attachment to any of the FF characters. I never felt anyone filled my role of being badass.

When I first saw Noctis however, back in the 2006 teaser trailer, that changed. There is NO ONE. EVER... in my eyes, that can top this fight.

The fact that Noctis can teleport, summon immaterial swords, take out a whole army and just walk away as if nothing ever happened, was huge for me.

Technically, DQ Battle Road Victory for Wii.

But it's been over a year since Slime Morimori 3 was released in Japan, and over six months since DQM:TW3D was released there. It's too soon to write the series off completely, but if there are no localization announcements at or by E3, it's probably safe to say that it's dead in the West.

DQX is arguably a lost cause already, given the decline of subscription-based MMOs, the cost of maintaining servers for them, and the niche status of the DQ franchise outside Japan.

After seeing some of the stuff GILGAMESH can do in Type 0, he and Noctis totally need to have a balls off the walls Fate/Type Moon all out battle.
