Star Wars The Force Awakens: SALARY, how much they got paid.

Not saying they deserve less, but I bet the new folks would have done it for even less.

I remember watching a graham norton episode where Harrison joked about spending all of his money and thats why he signed up for TFA. I really do wonder if he was joking or being serious.

Some creative accounting is pretty much the norm I think.
Never forget

If this is the deal Ford got, EP8 SPOILER
Hamill---------
EP8 SPOILER is gonna get paid for Episode VIII.

Probably not because Hamill simply didn't have the career that Ford had and isn't a household or marketable name.

And is that really a spoiler?

No, Ford had a very long and successful, though not necessarily critically acclaimed, career in Hollywood.
Fisher and Hamill
chose to have smaller, lower profile careers.

So using Fords % cut of the film gross. I can speculate that Boyega and Ridley have made an extra 45 grand so far. Ford got an extra 2 million this weekend.

I can't think of anything notable Mark Hamill has done since Star Wars, voicing the Joker aside.

No disrespect to him, but he should have got himself a better agent.
He took a 6 year break after Jedi, went to Broadway. When you see Hamill, you see Luke Skywalker and was type-casted as a result. A damn shame. Luckily, he found a niche as a voice actor, where you don't see his face. He played Amadeus on Broadway and when it was being made into a movie, a movie studio executive told the people making the film, "I don't want Luke Skywalker in this film".

I would rather be safe than sorry, I don't want to ruin it for anyone who hasn't seen EP7.

The new girl and dude got shafted. 300k for a franchise this caliber is way too low fro a main character.

That's the thing... The franchise is huge without those two. Sure, they're great in the role, but the film arguably would have been huge anyway. They're just along for the awesome ride.

Disney also doesn't get 100% of the gross mentioned on the likes of boxofficemojo.com, domestic is usually 50-55% of that said amount, 40% abroad, and 25% China.

Fisher got a million for EPISODE 7 SPOILER
saying 5 lines and being in the movie for 5 minutes
.
Hamill------
is going to be in 8 way more and will be essential to the story. They can't make it without
him
.

Jeeze, I have no idea how film salaries work, but the difference between Ford (Or even Fisher) and Boyega and Ridley who have many more scenes than the others and have to do a lot more work, makes it seem like they got a raw deal.

Disney's answer will always be "we gave you a career and could have given it to others for less"

It is because of Disney Chris Hemsworth keeps being able to do bomb after bomb.

One movie bombs, and he does his Thor thing, and they forget the dude isn't a draw.

Ridley didn't do a movie before this. For all those people that didn't see Attack the Block, Boyega is going to be huge after this.

Or he gets hamilled and never gets a role after the trilogy again. Nobody knows. Is there any actor that truly became successful after a Star Wars role that isn't Harrison Ford?
