If I'm on my 4th planet and I've already spent 5hrs on it but now I want to quickly check out a certain point on the far side of the map why can't I at a moments notice climb into a buggy or mount and zip to the POI? It's not a concern it's pointing out a design flaw that I didn't see anyone mention considering the nature of the game, but whatever I'll still play the game and reserve final judgment for myself.

Agree this annoyed me as well. If you stand out in the open you should be killed.
 
His gamepad skills look on par with recent Gamespot's RDR1 gameplay, I think it's safe to say a lot of casual gamers have similar aiming skills

I hope they still use the auto walk button from Fallout and Skyrim. Figure the first 2000 hours will just be walking in a straight line across one small planet.

Reminds me of the guy playing Skyrim a week before release playing the golden claw quest on a stream:

The whole chat going nuts telling him to turn back and grab the claw. He ran to the door without the claw because they didn't pick it up despite the quest marker (for some people it's not enough apparently). Later Him apologizing in chat when he gets to the door: 'sorry the game is bugged guy's'.

Entire chat screaming 'Go back!', dude runs past the quest marker for the claw (he killed the guy before talking to him and didn't take the claw) right past the quest marker to the entrance and outside.

After that he followed the chat suggestions, went back and it went fairly smooth up to the door…. after all that shit with the claw and following the chat you'd figure they had it, but no…the stupidity kicked right back in on the three ring symbols around the door.

Suffice it to say he never got past the door till the stream got pulled, after like 90 minutes starting at the entrance

….it's almost like the PR department in terms of takedowns is like: "let them be for a bit, they're so stupid they won't get anywhere anyways."

Other streams got taken down in minutes.

ok how many bullets does he need to kill a guy wearing a space suit ? like shouldn't a scratch send him exploding? wtf he emptied 3 clips and died and couldn't kill him.

This is why I don't like this kind of games or fallout.

neverless. I am getting the game for free with AMD processor I bought so no complaints.

looking in slowmo he only hit him like three/four times. the guy sucks

Because it's a rpg, not a shooter.. Enemies have HP and weapons make DP.

I really get the part. and I am not against it. but this was too extreme. if i need 3 clips to get one kill, then no not fun

But. we really don't know if that is what is happening here. for all we know he probably didn't land a single bullet. we couldn't see anything.

There is a reason why MS doesn't want videos out like that. because of horrible leaks like this.

that was like the "elite" of the pack. so they were a bit higher level than everyone else. (you can see the number to the left of the health bar)

it's not going to be like that for most enemies you face.

Plus if I'm correct, if this quest that he was on is roughly similar to what they showed in the first gameplay walkthrough, he should have had more weapons and not a pistol. So probably wasn't picking up weapons or anything, just rushing to post videos. It's not just a gameplay driven/level driven game but a loot driven game.

Do you think people have time to be hiding and fighting with the enemies hiding all the time? This is a bethesda game. We have exploring to do.
 
I know I should be playing this on my gaming PC, 30fps on consoles suck but I can't part with playing it on my couch with my big screen in my Atmos theatre room.

Life doesn't work like that. Where I come from, we have nice houses, a family and certain places for certain things. My gaming PC lives in my office. You really think I'm going to lug it out to my theatre room, yeah that's practical. And what just see it there for months on end? It has other uses, not just gaming. I don't live in a basement with my mum. Seriously, get a clue about life man. Sorry I don't mean to offend personally, but god I hate when people say this!

In my country we have ugly houses and no families but we are allowed to have two PCs for different purposes to compensate for the ugliness, one for the office to work on, and one in the living room for entertainment. It's amazing, you should try it, show it to your friends, and maybe it will catch on there as well..

After seeing that battle - I am wondering how space suits are so durable, and if it will be affected if you have holes in your spacesuit or cracked visor etc....

I guess that's a bit of shame... Could have been pretty cool, if you can take out an enemy by shooting the visor helmet and let him suffocate.

Then again, after all, it's a video game - although I somehow think of space exploration = constant danger of being exposed to un-inhabitable places.. like if I was in underwater battle situation, I would be always thinking of the water pressure and possibility of drowning.

They've done pretty well keeping it locked down for this long. I'm expecting the floodgates to open as we approach early access.

That's what i have a Series X for. I don't want an ugly ass rig sitting in my theatre room. In my country we call that ghetto.

see this is what im thinking. Tod can say what he wants but i have yet to see the leakers confirm anything. There is no video that i have seen where the player can land anywhere he wants and then walk the entirety of the planet and get to the other landing areas.

Pete Hines already confirmed it, Todd states in the direct you can land anywhere you want and walk the planet.

At this point yall choosing to be ignorant.
