Skyrim preorder would be awesome.
What do you mean by the first question?The_Player said:D'you have AMD instead of CPU? Anyway, in the install directory, there should be a file called DeusEx.ini. Open this file and there will be a line that reads: GameSpeed=1.0000. Try to play with it till you find the best number. Many users on the forums says that with 0.5000 the game plays at normal speed.
Most of them avaliable for pre-order only. You ain't get it from Brink for now.DTKT said:Are TF2 items retro-active? Aka I already bought Brink, do I get the hat?
It was a joke.(._.) said:What do you mean by the first question?
Try to run the game with -cpuspeed=1800 or something that works good with your CPU.(._.) said:I have been messing with that file and the number of CPU's when I right click on it under processes. It has CPU 0 selected by default. I currently have the game speed at 5k and it still runs the same.
Is that in the .ini file because it isn't showing up using the find window? Nor is "cpu" for that matter.The_Player said:It was a joke.

Make a shortcut for DeusEx.exe, right click the shortcut and click Properties, where it says Target e.g (C:\DeusEx\System\DeusEx.exe) change it to C:\DeusEx\System\DeusEx.exe -cpuspeed=1800.(._.) said:Is that in the .ini file because it isn't showing up using the find window? Same. I may have to bite on the Quake Complete Pack now.Stallion Free said:Fucking finally. I have a soft spot for the singleplayer and it will be nice being able to move on from the disk copy.
yup, did that via my steam version. still runs at the same quick speed. changed it to 100 and it went super fast. changed it to 5000 like what the game speed is set at and it still runs thw same quick speedThe_Player said:Make a shortcut for DeusEx.exe, right click the shortcut and click Properties, where it says Target e.g (C:\DeusEx\System\DeusEx.exe) change it to C:\DeusEx\System\DeusEx.exe -cpuspeed=1800.
Or if you're using steam version then right click at the game in library, Properites, Set Launch Options, add cpuspeed=1800 to this field.

think it is the directx3d 10 mod for unreal?
Say, what your specs? If you're using AMD try to find AMD Dualcore Optimizer, it could help you.(._.) said:yup, did that via my steam version. still runs at the same quick speed. changed it to 100 and it went super fast. changed it to 5000 like what the game speed is set at and it still runs thw same quick speed![]()

I just hope it's Steamworks, as I was tired of waiting and already paid for it in full.LovingSteam said:Skyrim preorder would be awesome.

Don't see why it wouldn't. Recent Bethesda games have been Steamworks.Lyphen said:I just hope it's Steamworks, as I was tired of waiting and already paid for it in full.
Seems to be working now that I installed the Deus Ex launcher. Disabled Mouse acceleration from there and it is now running at a playable speed.The_Player said:Sorry mate, I'm out of solutions.

Bentendo said:Alright, I have a question about bandwidth caps. I've been downloading A LOT of games through Steam lately (as well as other sites), and was wondering if bandwidth caps only include data that is downloaded and uploaded, or if it also includes things such as visiting websites and playing online games.
Sutton Dagger said:Visiting websites and playing online games is downloading and uploading data. Can't you check your usage?
Depends on your usage and what you do. I can easily rip through double that in a month. With a fast connection that's even easier.Bentendo said:I can but I lost all of my account info (and the "Question" it asks me to receive it: My favorite food? I have no clue what I put down) and won't be able to call customer service until tomorrow, so I was just curious.
Is 200 GB a lot or are there unlimited (and reasonable) plans out there? I'm about to download a couple of 10 GB games through Steam and that right there would be a huge dent right at the beginning of the month.

You'd get Deus Ex GOTY edition at time of pre-order, and the Augmented Edition content when you install the game itself.Liquid_015 said:Quick Question:
If I were to pre-order Deus Ex: HR Augmented Edition on Steam, will I get the extra content before the release date or on the date of release?

It isn't turn-based, but its pace is usually considered to be slow.Forkball said:Is Europa Universalis III turn based like Civilization? I played the HoI demo but couldn't get into it because everything seemed to move too quickly, especially for a game as complex as that one.
Alot of people will say the older engine games are alot more complex and confusing but it is better with EU3 and other games on that engine. So, with that you'd want to try demos for EU3 (which has a 'tutorial', which is mostly just a slideshow of what to do) or Victoria II (not on Steam, has a proper tutorial though). Basically, you want to avoid EU1-2, Victoria I, Hearts of Iron I-II and Crusader Kings because the interface might (as most say) be too esoteric for most.Forkball said:Is Europa Universalis III turn based like Civilization? I caved and bought it. Less than $4 and if I hate it... well I've wasted more than $4 before (hell, this week). And I still need to buy FFT and the QuakeCon sale is tomorrow... I THOUGHT I WAS DONE.Sober said:Alot of people will say the older engine games are alot more complex and confusing but it is better with EU3 and other games on that engine. That being said though, HOI3, Vicky2, EU3 and EU Rome (and soon CK2, Sengoku, etc.) all run on pretty much the same engine, their interfaces are a bit different and they all simulate different things so it's hard to say. Victoria II has a real working tutorial in the demo you might want to try and see if you like it, but almost none of that knowledge is transferable (except general interface use and maybe army control) if you want to play EU3 because of the different simulations going on.
Yeah, the only one I dig is EUIII. Can't even get into HoI, tbh. Wtf lol ymmv ydktpotdsGvaz said:Not all of those games are good![]()
