Lol.
Valkyria Chronicles released 2½ years ago and has 900k owners now. Their response was Sonic Lost World a year later. Then, crickets.
They have the numbers themselves without having to check other companies. They're just incompetent.
It's very obviously a bug, since it doesn't affect everyone and the 'fix' is simply running it in borderless windowed mode without changing anything about the game itself. It's pretty much exactly like Dark Slouls PC port. Really bizarre limitation in display options, but once you fixed that the game ran and looked beautifully.
This is not a shit port, and all the bitching about it is why people roll their eyes at PC gamers and call us entitled. It's a solid port with some issues. It performs reasonably well (roughly equal to the console version on similar hardware), the resolution isn't locked, and it has several graphics options. Yes, it needs a patch to fix some of the stuff done in the community fix, and there is some sort of conflict with AMD's drivers, but let's not overlook the fact that there are actual shit ports out there with far more serious problems and no support or intention of fixing them. *Glaring in Koei Tecmo's general direction
If the game can't even get prerendered cut scenes to run right, calling it a bad port should not flare up your defensive mechanisms.
Turn down AA.I can either play it with excessive screen tearing, or with vsync but then I get a fluctuating framerate between 30 and 60. (this is on a 1070 and only at 1080p). It's totally unacceptable, and the game still has these issues on low graphic settings too. It's one of the worst PC port I've ever played, I realise there are community fixes, but they mess with the animations so I don't want to touch them (and shouldn't need to anyway). I don't think there's anything entitled about wanting a game to run at 1080p 60.

This is weird, I'm getting very stable 50-60 fps at 1080p on my GTX770 4gb, no stuttering or screen tearing at all. Game does stutter a lot for me when i had AA enabled (turn it off completely, it doesn't noticeably affects visuals in this game but affects performance greatly) and when i forgot to close media player and other resource demanding programs before starting Nier. Looking forward to late ports with Valve-themed preorder accessories.Cool.
I hope Square gets the right message from this.
well that seems to be you cause i have a 1070 and i am on 1440p with barely any drops, specially with the gi fix, i have none basically. it is far from being one of the worst pc ports ever, make me think how many pc games have you played to even say that.

Disable AA. It's MSAA and expensive.
Nier has one or two little bugs that prevent it from being an amazing port, but it is a completely functional port that runs just fine even on modest hardware with the right settings. It's much better than anything KT have done, and I would argue much better than stuff like Dark Souls or most of SE's other PC ports.
I can get 1080/60 on a HD7950 with some effort, your 1070 should be able to hit 1080/60 with ease and even go higher.
Source? I've never seen anyone mention this.
Some have mentioned it in the performance thread that the FPS unlock mod has some bugs.Source? I've never seen anyone mention this.

Well at least you can take solace in the fact that they have assured us that they have multiple projects in the working.I still can't believe Sega ported Valkyria Chronicles to PC, it did great, then they ported Sonic goddamn Lost World and called it a day.
No. You are thinking about the FPS unlock, which you obviously don't need to run at a locked 60 FPS.I realise there are community fixes, but they mess with the animations
It's not like Dark Souls 1 at all. Nier: Automata natively supports arbitrary resolutions for the main 3D rendering pass, you just need to use borderless fullscreen to access them on some configurations. That's not a "mod", that's a 5 second tweak. It's pretty much exactly like Dark Slouls PC port. Port Nier too Square, the audience is clearly there
Same/near release date next to the consoles help.

Good Japanese games do really well on Steam. It's a huge surprise. Can't wait for the flood of ports from Sega, i.e. the next mediocre 3D Sonic game.

They've said they have news to share in 'the New Year' at the end of last year. A quarter of the year is over now, so any day now! Surely!
Meanwhile, the guy who was doing the reassuring has left the company.
