Steve Jobs resigns as CEO of Apple

How about some feel-good links for a change. I was browsing Youtube and came across this set of videos from Macworld 2007 showing Steve giving emotional hugs to supposed ex-employees who showed up en-mass for some reason:

It really shows how much people love the man. You can also hear him say things like asking if anyone's seen Woz around.

Does anyone know why all these employees showed up for this particular keynote?

MacWorld 2007? Is that when they unveiled the iPhone? If so, a pretty milestone event.
 
I think at this point the only people spamming that image from reddit as being fake are just mac zealots, it is obvious steve is in a world of hurt right now.

looks like someone trying too hard to be a photoshop detective

the neck thing is just the angle of the light, the bit of the neck which looks missing is pure white cos of the light
 
the picture looks legit to me.... It is exactly how a terminal patient of cancer looks like.

Jobs wouldn't have resigned in the first place unless he was in such terrible condition.


Really terrible ... I think now I'll go and do a small donation to some research institution. I really hope that treatment for such a terrible condition improve as fast as it is possible.

Did anyone else listen to the TWiT Live Special about Jobs? They acted like he died, and while he may very well be close to death, Leo Laporte and co. are smarter than this. It was super annoying, too, because they kept reminding the audience that he wasn't dead, then went on talking about him like you would talk about, you know, a dead person.

Pathetic.

Whenever Jobs actually does die, they might as well just link to that podcast, because they basically already did the show.

Obviously that is ideal, but asking people to stop posting it over and over isn't working. I was just trying to offer a solution that is within our control.

No, sorry, leaving photos out of the equation, something doesn't add up. If he was really like that, his wife and his colleagues couldn't IN GOOD CONSCIENCE allow him to be there. AT ALL.

I wouldn't allow him out anywhere with those clothes on. What kind of mini skirt or dress is that? It looks like an outfit you would see in teen wolf or the breakfast club worn by a female actor.

What cancer organizations is he going to give some of his money to, to further cancer research and help those without big money bags like him to get through something likes this?

I think nobody missed it ... it's just that the explanation of why it should be a fake, is super crappy .... so crappy that the fact that they couldn't find any strong evidence of it being fake, actually makes the photo much more credible.

i don't know is it fake or not, but that explanation just comes across as "this looks shopped. i can tell from the pixels..."

It's obvious at this point that people are reading the constant pleas to stop and posting it anyway. Trolling, in other words.

I really don't care if people post the picture, or if everyone complains about the picture being posted, I was just trying to help before it devolved into a sad-age whine thread. Clearly that was an inspired work of genius as now I've written 3 post about it. /le sigh.

Been discussed to hell but if this is a sign of his imminent death then I for one am surprised, thought he was getting a bit better/stable. Can't/won't believe that pic. Oh, and i'm now sporting this wallpaper;
