What to expect from the Street Fighter V beta, starting today
At the start of the beta, four characters are available. This includes the wandering warrior, Ryu, the Interpol agent, Chun-Li, the head of Shadaloo, M. Bison, and the shadow from the past, Nash. In order to test our content delivery system, Birdie and Cammy will not be available until Sunday, but we assure you that both these brawling Brits are well worth the wait.
For this beta, you cannot invite your friends into a match. All opponents are chosen at random while you wait in the grid, and you can be matched with an opponent from anywhere in the world. We’d like to stress that this is not how the final game will function. The purpose of the beta is to test our location tracking and match-making algorithm across a wide range of international connections. We’re committed to making Street Fighter V the definitive fighting game experience, and that’s both offline and online. The data we collect from the beta will help us achieve this goal.

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to play the beta during this time, but on the upside, this represents a perfect opportunity to submit your feedback on the official Street Fighter V survey page or on the Capcom UK Twitter page. Just don’t ask us to spill the beans on anymore characters. All in good time!
