Street Fighter V Beta Thread: Welcome, future '16ers! (Currently Inactive!)

Lol, nah. I'm just curious. I'm not putting much stock into these wins. Most people seem new or they're trying to play this shit like sf4...which doesn't seem to work too well...unless you're Cammy.
Thank goodness they're killing off lights into mediums. I REALLY hope they eliminate early invincibility on non ex shoryukens.
I think you have to exit to the main
menu. There's an option there called information that tracks your fights.
All I saw was a battle record that shows my recent fights. I don't think it kept all of them.
 
the problems of the first launch are only a distant memory now :)

On the negative side, I feel the netcode is not quite there yet. Lots of teleporting.
 
Need to fix this lag and the game is still too slow for me. The footsies feel like I'm playing OG sf2 on SNES lol...

Finally getting a good match and then losing because all the other nashes I play are low level. Man...i want Ken already!
 
Oh man I felt great about the Birdie win. Hit the V-trigger divekick and linked into drill and finished with a super. Hits in this game feel so satisfying.

Also, feel like my netcode problems are much less than everyone else. About 80% of my matches are flawless, though it may not mean much coming from someone who's only played SF4 on PS3/4.

...gotta remember about v reversals.

He kept jumping and i just kept missing my AA lol.
 
I've never been so satisfied about chipping someone to death. I think I really dig this change, especially since it also let's me live way longer than I should.

it's pretty crazy...like as a pseudo comeback mechanic it's huge. the pressure is on them to close it out and the mindgames get really serious
 
Why am I being matched with total beginners? Where are all the people who stomped me yesterday? These victories are not glorious.

Edit: finally a close match with a level 15 Ryu. That I lost.
 
Is there any way to punish cammy's v-skill as ryu?
its' pretty slow so it's likely safe on block. You can almost reaction dP it though because it comes out so slow.

I'm officially bored of the beta now though. You play 15 matches, 1-2 players actually know fundamentals, and the rest is me just beating up on new players. Not fun. I finally find a decent nash or Bison, lose one, win one, and then they vanish into a ocean of random server connections. As a Ken player, I feel like I'm cheating anyway lol...If the 5 day beta is the same build, I don't think I'll really play it all that much tbh, want to see the changes already. Anyway, things I'll send to Capcom

-- Keep improving the netcode. It's sluggish, and when it's bad, characters are teleporting all over the screen.

-- The game is slow. When lag comes in, it really feels like I'm playing in peanut butter. It doesn't feel responsive at all. I like all the knew animations and how attacks have weight to them, and everyone's dash is pretty good. But yeah, everyone's walk speed needs to go up a few iota. Footsies are terribly boring at the moment because everyone is sledging across the screen.

-- Fix hitboxes...stuff whiffs that shouldn't, things feel weird.

-- Throw range seems weird still, but maybe it's just an adjustment on my part.

-- Bring in the new changes already, and give me Ken!

Yeah, I kinda agree. I don't want to play this too much since it is an old build and I'm developing bad habits already like relying on linking lights into things but on the other hand it's still so fun to play. lol
