Combination license rescue/announcement: Sentai Filmworks has picked up the entire Rozen Maiden series thus far. That includes the original series, the sequel Träumend, and the OVA Ouvertüre.

I have the collection in the velveteen box. It was a bitch to get though and I don't know if it has the OVA or not. It does have the original series and TRaumend.

This collection:

Blood-C Ep7, Ep8

Episode 7 was kinda subpar in terms of production values. The action was pretty meh for this series, and even the enemy design was lame. But the story is definitely taking a turn for the CLAMP. That suits me just fine. Episode 8 however combined great CLAMPness with great regular Blood-Cness, and once again TONS of censorship.

This series is great. It's keeping me at the edge of my seat, and it's the only show I'm actually able to catch up on these days. Everything else got backlogged, but I CANNOT DO THAT TO CLAMP! <3

What was it?
He was,
ironically enough, the racer who kind of inspired JP to start racing. The same one he imagines ushering him to victory when actually he's trying to blow up his car.

Yeah I am glued to my seat with the suspense thinking "Will Saya save them in time?"

Wait seriously? I never actually noticed that.

Then again, Redline's amazing style kinda takes your focus off of everything else.

Wow I totally missed that.

That's right, Redline is totally deeper than you think.

But seriously, it's kind of important, if we're talking about character.

Which makes up like, 5% of the movie.

Bleach: The Hell Verse

[Teaser]If you were like me, and were incredibly salty with the anime & its handling of the scene above, watch this film--like now.In only the first few seconds they reanimate the whole thing with not just a fluidity, but a clarity that would make Redline sweat a good bit. And that's not even the half of it. It's surprising as hell, really, but the whole film remains as consistent in its visuals and direction--its direction being the kicker. It really doesn't feel like a Bleach film in tone--at all. And that, my animubros, is a very good thing. A definite sleeper hit for the sakugawhores.

For everybody else, it's still Bleach in its narrative--good Bleach, mind you, but Bleach nonetheless. Take that how you do.
I loved it, I was so surprised.

But the
Villain twist? So Kubo

It is important, except they didn't do anything with it.

Should've turned it into a mini OVA series.

Eh, is it's presence not enough? I think it speaks for itself pretty well. The characters all serve their roles as caricatures.

Also, I dunno if that would have helped. If you make it into a series that's the kind of thing that never gets finished.

I think the stuff that's we're shown small parts of and not given the full picture of is more interesting because it's just a snippet.

Doing some catching up here.

Mawaru Penguin Drum 07:

What the hell is going on?! Why did this show suddenly turn into a
"let´s help Ringo to get pregnant by Tabuki-kun"
-thing?! Why did that penguin eat those nasty frog eggs?! Why is the red-haired brother so awesome?!

cajunator said:

Fixed.

I have no idea where this show is going, the way things are going everybody is going to get killed with Saya covered in blood huddled up in a corner singing the "I will protect everyone" version of her song.

I'm probably very, very late to party on this. So I just read that Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood was barely animated in HD (540p). WTF Bones! Is that a common practice? I was looking into the RahXephon Blu-ray release, which is apparently another crappy upscale. Though, that shouldn't have been a surprise given it's production year.

Heh, I was actually thinking about it while waiting for you to answer, and it suddenly came to me: "Hey, I wonder if he's the
pimp racer JP saw when he was a kid.
"

Episode 8 gets even better.

Yea when i saw the golden eye patch and the women i was like "wait, what?"

Plus i can't believe the girl didn't realize that she knew JP long ago (or did she?)

Blood-C 8

Well, I've got to see this series through now, if only so I eventually learn just what the fuck is going on. Also Saya's so incredibly airheaded it's almost charming.

Could that entire class be any stupider though? Oh look, there's a really fucking creepy monster thing sitting far away in the courtyard. Let's all just sit here and stare at it until it's close enough to kill us instead of running away.

Well, BONES' composite software and hardware is probably from 2001 anyway. Lulz.

You can't outrun beams of light, though.

I guess that shouldn't be a surprise since Bones was producing 4:3 crap like Ouran back in 2006. I take it that since their inception they have been a cheap studio.

Cheap in terms of studio equipment? Probably. But they still have some of the best animators in the industry working with them all the time. :)

Yes. I actually own all the JP R2 LE volumes of Scrapped Princess on DVD, and I have all the figures on my shelf.
I was happy that Bandai included figurines for the series. Bought every fucking one of them. About 50 bucks per DVD/figure set. shit that one was expensive (for a US release)

"Compositing" is the word you're looking for I believe. "Composite software" is something completely different.

It's Xbox 360 HD.

Haha yes! Special A!

A fun distraction no doubt.
Wasn't a fan of the first two episodes with the exception of a few moments, but I think Episode 3 slowly starts the show's brand of humor which was amusing.

I cant wait to see it three+ years from now when they get to dubbing it. All the gifs of it made it appear to have some of the best animation in the series.

Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko 05:

Okay, so the aunt almost gave Mako-kun a bj, only missing by a bit and licking the inside of his thighs. w t f?!

Btw. is this anime considered to be good or not? I´m still unsure, or rather, leaning towards "no", lol.

What this show is seriously missing is a male friend for the lead character. As is, it´s too much turning into a harem-show.

Look into your hearto, senno-chan.

Are you jman, or are you dancer?

Mawaru Penguin Drum 08
My wacko prediction based on the letter of the day?
The next Project M is either going to be a Metroid game directed by Team Ninja or
Mourning, so Murder

it's going to be interesting watching how Ringo proceeds
Without part of her Fate Diary to guide her

It was always a harem. A bad one at that.

Denpa Onna is pretty terrible. Worst SHAFT show I've seen in the last 5 years or so.

Caveat being I have not watched Maria Holic Alive yet.
