Ano Hana has a high score on Mal, I'll watch it for sure. Love school/slice of life shows.

I was wondering why you didn't mention Berserk either.
As for ano Hana, well its got some good aspects and some things that you will probably hate. whether the good outweighs the bad will determine of course how you view it. But there is a lot of bad.

I think all archers should materialize their bow like that.
I don't know why I like this show so much. It has all the wrong ingredients for a crappy show, it's a harem in every which way, there's so much exposition that it never ends, there's catty girls fighting over the one guy and quite a lot of downtime.
But, when the action happens, it looks really cool. I like the whole quick lesson in the history of the gods and all those flying swords doing their thing. The girls are super over aggressive when kissing the lead and it's plenty of fun even though it should be stupid.

More psychological turmoil is always good to see. This time in the form of Harumi's

Elements and edits utilizing items such as the "classic" mirror, the closet and the cellphones (and their colors) made for an entertaining introduction to paranoia from yet another character in the series.
A negative is that this episode has started the use of eye catches, which I usually don't have a problem with in most anime. However, the ones in Paranoia Agent are just bad and broke some of the episode's flow (which was hard edits to begin with to be fair, but those had purpose, the eye catches are completely unrelated to the case at hand).
Back on the episode, the ride leaned on the topic of freedom more explicitly in the latter half. It is, however, not always a comfortable or probable shift (depending on how a person values or defines it for self, in this case
). The end leads to a questionable conclusion to the "Golden Bat" as well as a questionable conclusion to his alignment. A figure that stands for longed freedom? I don't know yet. But I am interested in seeing more who are "victims" of their own life because it has kept my interesed thus far.

So far, Space Brothers is more about the process of getting into space, with Mutta taking tests and being in lab environments with other astronaut hopefuls etc. Its definitely a different feel to Planetes altogether, but still enjoyable on its own.

Yup, Campione is by far the most enjoyable harem/action series this season, not counting Dog Days.
