Are we having Sunset TV this week? I hope so.
God, it's so nice to watch people who know what they're doing playing this game. And it's also awesome to watch people who have no idea of what they're doing. It's sad that I find it refreshing that a AAA game requires you to play well in order to have awesome shit, instead of just pressing A, but it is what it is.
Game of the show and my most anticipated game of the year!
So cool that vampire Bill went to go play this at the Microsoft store event!

Not much discussion about the game... it looks real fun like Dead Rising meets Jet Set Radio
That's just the E3 overload. There were multiple threads for this that went on for tons of pages.
And that's why it was very, very wise to show this a few weeks before E3. I feel it's getting lots of attention but people will want to talk about the other games shown at E3.
Don't forget the game looks generic and has zero appeal. Not surprising threads are dropping like bricks.

How did he smell? No but I met Phil today
I love what this game is (or seems to be), but I think their E3 showing was piss poor and they really didn't do themselves any service with what they showed.
My hype is still at an all time high, you've probably seen me post my love in every single Sunset Overdrive thread as of late, and that hasn't changed, but really, in a game about killing in traversal and crazy explosive weapons, why the hell did they show a demo about going essentially nowhere, in a mostly flat environment, and without even showing the craziness of a filled-up style meter (that we have seen in some b-roll reveal footage last month). The thing never went upwards of "level 2" style, when you'd expect the demo to climax out at full style.
This is beyond me.The game looks more explosive and alive in any of the screenshots or previous footage than in the E3 demo. I'm still very much interested in the game as I said, but I felt like giving this honest feedback to the guys at insomniac (i know they read here) because I really feel they showed the game in a very bad light. What was seen at MS conference certainly wouldn't have made me interested if I wasn't already sold 5 times before.
But anyway, what matters to me really is the game, so please keep rocking guys.
Edit : mainly talking about the Single Player demo here, just to be clear.
Person playing in the first video is just awful.
Much appreciated.
Do they have plans to introduce a boost feature or a way to increase general speed for more seasoned gamers who have played games like JSR for years.

I was surprised as well how much slower and "off" everything felt compared to what I've seen before. I now wonder if those were bull-shots and just clever video editing, I really hope not.

I really don't think it is. I'm pretty sure the explosive crazy stuff we've seen is this game. I guess when you're making a game every day for so long it can be a bit hard to take a step back and figure out how you should present your whole game in only 3 minutes of show + make a "demo" of only a part of it (especially when it's an open world).
Maybe it's also the fact that making a demo specifically for e3 takes a lot of time, and when your game launches some months later then you might have to choose not to spend too much resources/time to work on a totally separate e3 demo that you'll throw away post-e3, versus working on the actual game launch that still requires a lot of work before it's done.
I really trust Insomniac has an awesome game here, so that's why I wanted to share how I felt about the way they showed it here.
Now I'm left scratching my head. Everything I've seen of the game before looked good, but what they've shown at the conference (and later on the show floor) looked so much more riotous, smooth, explosive and just plain FUN that it cemented SO as my most wanted game this holiday. The demo also had a great deal of verticality to it, so I'm really not sure where you saw that mostly flat environment.
