Most of the endings were terrible, there were only 2 that really made me chuckle, which was Arthur's and Shuma-Gorath's.
Brave boxer-ed knight taking on Fin Fang Foom and the tentacle monster becoming host of a Japanese quiz show. Especially the second is ingenious.
holy shit are you serious

if everyone had the same moveset as Dante, then Marvel would even be more hype, a re-post from the MvC3 thread. The last combo done in the video actually almost uses every single one of Dante's special moves. now just give Hsien-KO that combo ability! :P

see, Megaman could totally combo like that with some armor sets / robot master abilities.
Only if it had a whole new slew of jazz themed tunes. The one thing holding the game back from reaching maximum HYPE.

They should contract them out like they did with the TvC endings.

While that would be awesome. Having it setup with a text and picture ending and a short animated clip. I wouldn't mind if they did something like TvC UAS. The endings in MvC3 were crap in comparison. The actual artwork for the endings took up only this tiny space in the center of the screen (like maybe 1/4) I actually had to go into the gallery and zoom in to get a good shot of the characters in some of the endings. TvC's endings had nice large illustrations that took up a good 3/4 of the screen (of course the resolution plays into a LITTLE bit, but the difference is still pretty huge. Plus MvC3 only had two illustrations while TvC had 3, so because of this, MvC3's endings felt very brief and underwhelming.

There are some other good endings.
X-23 taunting Wolverine with the corpse of Galactus on his front lawn while he's in a bathrobe? Tron Bonne reprogramming a Sentinel to be her new "Servbot"?

Those were among the first ones I unlocked where I didn't pay attention to what was actually happening, but now I remember.
Yea, granted, there were a few fun endings, but the majority was terrible.

Really hyped for Comic-Con, btw, I love throwing my money at Capcom.

Fucking awesome

I was literally going to post that myself. It's like Wolverine is a dad now haha.

One of the endings that ticked me off the most was Zeros, silver surfer taking zero to "his world" which happened to be "the world of megamanzero" as if it was a diffrent planet or something... That is the same Zero just in the future!

I wish MMZ could have been in the game, then I would have been fine with original megaman and tron, but I want to see X Zero and X together lol.

I think Tron had the best ending IMO.

Tron's ending just taunted me of who could have been in the game, or whose alter ego should have been in the game. :(

Deadpool
blowing up Cleveland while trying to make a margarita and the authorities thinking YOU are his accomplice
was fun too.

The problem is that Capcom let a comic book writer whose name escapes me write all the endings and win quotes and some of them are so clearly Wikipedia'd that I don't know why Capcom didn't rewrite them.

Like most of Amaterasu's (or Issun, as the case may be) win quotes are basically just madlibs with Okami places and names inserted in.

I'm paraphrasing but I am pretty sure one was "Good job, Ammy! Now let's get back to Kamiki Village!" Really? That's the win quote you wrote? It's like a third grader wrote it!

And while I'm complaining about MvC3 writing, I kind of hate that all the reactions to Thor/Amaterasu/Shuma-Gorath are the same.

It's always dudes saying "I'VE ALWAYS WANTED TO FIGHT A GOD" and "YOU GODS DON'T UNDERSTAND US MORTALS".

Like, I guess the latter might apply to Thor or Shuma, but Amaterasu? She barely has a personality, in what sense is her god-like power going to her head?

Yeah I wish they put more thought into it.

Well she's still a goddess, I mean she uses magic and sacred weapons.

Frank Tieri was the writer, IIRC.

Endings aside, I do like all the continuity nods they managed to fit in. I chuckled when I saw Issun's reaction to Akuma's Shun Goku Satsu.

Actually I'm pretty sure it was stated that the MMZ was a divergent time line after X5 where Zero put himself in stasis, where X6-X8 where he didn't. It's like Marvel's 2099 isn't just the future, it's a full fledged alternate universe.

That was retconned in to the X6-X8 Zero being a fake Zero.

Using Capcom polls for fan demand is a very small sample size, that does not accurately gauge interest.
No, but Capcom took them seriously, and it's how Capcom is gauging interest. That's all that matter.

Yeah, the majority were terrible. I liked Dormammu's just because it had Red Arremer in it, though...

No kidding - most bogus ending there.

Hey, Volnutt isn't in the game, so I'm happy. **** Volnutt.

Ah yes, that one too! And MODOK's.

Amaterasu has the worst win quotes in the game. They're just so terrible. Amaterasu urinating on her opponent while Issun apologized is completely out of character for both of them. Issun should have called Morrigan, Trish, Storm, etc. "Busty babe".

And while I'm complaining about MvC3 writing, I kind of hate that all the reactions to Thor/Amaterasu/Shuma-Gorath are the same.

I love all of Dormammu's beginning quotes. It's part of why I must use him on point. "Not even the power of Asgard can humble the dread lord!"
"What is thy will ancient one?"
"I have no use for you."

Good stuff.

Endings aside, I do like all the continuity nods they managed to fit in. I chuckled when I saw Issun's reaction to Akuma's Shun Goku Satsu.
Definitely quality.

Well, huh... It still didn't really make me mad (again, I just thought of it like 2099). What really bothered me about that ending is how Zero's all cool and polite about it. Seemed way OOC for him. But again, I guess that's Tieri's fault.

No, but Capcom took them seriously, and it's how Capcom is gauging interest. That's all that matter.

The fan list request was not made by Capcom. It was a fan made list for fans to vote. That's why a lot of the hints aren't even on that fan list.

Pretty sure MMZ is still a part of the regular MM timeline. Zero's ending in X6 has him sealing himself away, but it's never stated when exactly it took place, allowing for X7, X8 and Command Mission to be made without screwing with the canon.

Of course, X6 existing in the first place sort of derailed the intended canon, anyway...

Huh, I don't think I ever saw Issun's reaction?

I like how Morrigan's win quote against Shuma Gorath implies tentacle sex.

You should pay attention to tidbits that you don't pay attention to, since those give way to what you seek.

Can you tell me how many out of characters that we guess is wrong

1. Phoenix Wright
2. Frank West
3. Strider
4. Acolyopse
5. Jubilee
6. Dr. Strange
7. Cable
8. Roll
9. Batsu

He said that the SGK reminded him of the vil lage elder‘s dance (which was totally lost in the Spanish translation for some reason, dunno about other languages)

Edit: Oh right, baking cakes, not dancing.

Ah, thank you. I thought that Issun actually cried something out during the Shun Goku Satsu or something. I'm not sure if I've seen that one before.

Cable, Roll and Dr. Strange are the only ones in the list that I can't make sense of, really.

Phoenix is popular so he is possibility, Frank and Strider are pretty much shoe ins too. Apocalypse, Jubilee(or Psylocke) and Batsu(or another Rival School character) definitely seem like solid predictions.

Well, Lupinko teased Phoenix Wright.

Are you enjoying this Lupinko?

Well I'm impressed at how close others were only to fall back down again at other places, and yet gaf still doesn't get anywhere after I made things even easier.

You have to think, just why certain things were brought up in the way they were, together no less, since there be buried the keys you seek to the answers of the past.

I should join hideo after all this convoluted cryptic jargony wuzzle wazzle. lol

And yes, the analysis is just awesome all over, intrawebz are doing great all right.

While we're at the topic of VO, they really oughta fix Joe's. Should be number one priority for the update.

They should've got Dee Bradley Baker from the start anyway. I wonder what happened that they couldn't get him to voice Joe anyway?

Be a little less cryptic, especially for the Marvel side of hints. That universe is just too big.

Gotta admit, it's more fun this way then just laying everything out there. lol

I've been playing at home. Have my own ideas on what teh seekrits are, but I'm not sharing.

I guess you don't want to answer my question. how disappointing. It would help us to figure out what we did went wrong.

Late as hell but you gotta love the Dante Christmas Loop (0:07 - 0:17). As for your comment, I love what I think Karsticles suggested for X where instead of doing double inputs for different variations, you could charge whatever by holding the button after the input while using any other moves regularly during the fight. With X's higher emphasis on mobility thrown into the mix, shit would be all kinds of awesome.
