You are delusional as fuck for a dedicated handheld game system it's a lot.
And for a dedicated home console it's a third party killer. Switch couldn't run AAA games even if third parties tried.

You can't post that without a source

It's also a handheld. Adjust your expectations accordingly. It's a console.
It's a console.
It's not necessarily a matter of power; there are only so many things you can scale back or cut to reduce memory footprint before you're straddling a fine line between optimisation and creating a bespoke version of the game.
Except it's a dedicated console with console games.
Good to hear. Now return the favor Capcom with those sexy new games!
Still not enough, they really could have gone with 8gbs.
This could be a big reason why they went with a smart phone app for voice chat, so that as much RAM as possible could be for games and not having too many things reserved for the OS and other functions.

You don't understand what i'm saying. I'm saying if the Switch was as powerful as a PS4, but only had 4GB of ram, THAT would be disastrous for Nintendo.
They only asked for 4GB?
And for a dedicated home console it's a third party killer. Switch couldn't run AAA games even if third parties tried.
For something of this size and power it's not.4GB of RAM is bottom of the barrel in 2017.
If the switch had 8gb it would be more expensive, you have to find a sweet spot somewhere.
Raising the 360's 256 up to 512 cost millions or something, whatever happens in development and buying parts and whatever else.
3.2GB useable out of a 4GB total still doesn't feel enough.
LolMust be getting a really enhanced RE4 port if this is true.
now it's your turn capcom, give us MH5
It also has a portable/handheld form factor, and that comes with compromises on how to use that little space. I imagine that the Switch is internally very compact and cramped. It's a console.
And for a dedicated home console it's a third party killer. Switch couldn't run AAA games even if third parties tried.
A lot more than 2GB total with 1 usable on Wii U, that's for sure. BTW was the 3.2GB out of 4GB usable ever actually confirmed from real findings or is this still from rumors like from EG? Can't remember.
They opened it and everything? Feels like it should be a bigger deal than that.
It's a console.
If that was the only thing Capcom released on the Switch I'd be more than satisfied.Must be getting a really enhanced RE4 port if this is true.
I just don't get how people can't grasp this. It really is incredible how powerful this device is.Does this look like a traditional console?
Show me something in this form factor that runs games as Nintendo Switch will.
The dev specs leak said 3.25GB is usable.
He mentioned porting the supposedly current Re engine to Switch and the MT Framework was ported by two people over two months. If that was the only thing Capcom released on the Switch I'd be more than satisfied.
Oh so we actually got an updated leak saying there's now 50MB more for games? Awesome! Every bit helps!
You should probably measure your Xbox one and PS4.

The pricing on accessories and such is the true issue.
I don't know mate, the PS4 Pro is pretty big and it wouldn't be fair. You should probably measure your Xbox one and PS4.
Make sure you avoid the pictures showing people playing Switch docked in console form, to support your narrative.
Not sure what you are arguing here. The Wii U game pad wasn't natively playing anything. It was a stream screen.Placing screen on console and not on gamepad will not automatically make it handheld.

Is the dock the part of the Switch that contains the hardware? How did i miss that?
The source (at least the one I remember) is highly questionable. Sony doubled the memory solely because Randy Pitchford told them to according to Randy Pitchford.I'm glad Nintendo's listening to third parties more.
Didn't something similar happen with Sony concerning the PS4's RAM?
Hardware specs for Switch focus on high performance and low power. It means you can achieve nVidia GeForces high performance capability in TV mode, and you also can use the same device running with a battery in tabletop mode and portable mode.
There was also some talk about how Nintendo achieved high performance and low power in portable mode and how it differs from smart devices. Nintendo is adopting an original operating system. You can use plenty of hardware resources for gaming apps and it can secure enough memory space for these apps as well.
Another part of the session was about issues to examine for the future. Since Switchs SOC power consumption takes a bigger toll on the GPU than the CPU, Capcom asked Nintendo about implementing a feature to adjust the GPU clock corresponding on scenes (note: this is a development term), but Nintendo said that even if you lower the clock, the overall processing time will be longer and it wont necessarily give an advantage in the end.

That's not an image of a console.Placing screen on console and not on gamepad will not automatically make it handheld.
So that was it!Secret console sauce!
Seems like we're getting somewhere. Good. No, because then you wouldn't be able to take your console games with you.
Thanks for sharing all of those pictures of consoles
