The wifi on my switch hasn't worked for 2 days. Was showing 1-2 bars, however all attempts to get onto the E-Shop and Internet test connections timed out and failed. I eventually did a hard reset and got it working again, but I've had to do that twice in a week.
I call Nintendo and for their tech support on the phone. In short, they were useless and had the gall to ask my to get a router range extender when my switch is sitting behind one wall twenty feet from my router.
Every other device I have (iPhones, Kindle, iPads, Xbox, PS4, laptop, etc) shows full bars in the same area that my switch is docked. I have a 200 MB download connection, and all devices test out at 50-100 MB on connection tests. Switch shows 1-2 bars and 5-10 MB download on Internet test connection.
I have about 20+ hours logged jnto Zelda, and have a tempered glass screen protector perfectly installed, so I'm not dying to take this thing back. That said, I find it hard to believe my Switch and its current WiFi performance is normal.
Looking for opinions here. Wait it out and hope for better signal via future firmware updates, or take it the shorts now on the screen protector and Zelda save and return to retail???
