this is so fucked up. I went last night and nobody could do it cause the mobile guy wasn't there.... and now the prices for infamous and killzone dropped. This is fucking bullshit
Right, but with how simplistic Target's system is, would it consider a game system under the "Video Game" umbrella and triple it?
Obviously a cell phone, or tablet wouldn't.
Just curious is all.
I've seen things like this elsewhere.

and they lowered infamous's trade in to under the killzone trade in?! GTFO, I am going in there and getting pissed I don't care. Can't believe a regular target employee can't do the trade in sitting right next to the counter at electronics.

Yes, they are an outsourced company. I used to be a manager for Target (until I jumped ship after the security breach) and those employees are not on Target's payroll. They don't even get an employee discount.

Well after about 30 minutes they finally let me walk them through it... The only value that dropped for me was GTA V. It only dropped $3.33 though so I still sold it.

Turns out Targets in my city are not set up to do trade ins of anything due to pawn laws. Sucks but stacking a few gamestop deals together got me almost the same amount of value and I was able to find a complete copy of Fire Emblem for the Wii.

well I figured out my angry approach to this. I was in about 7:42. The sign on the mobile computer said till 6 Sundays. I checked the mobile locator on the trade site, says 8 pm. Looks I got technicalities, woo wooooooo

Dude let me ring up three different transactions, totaling $130. Would have been closer to $200 before the price-drops, but hey it's money. He kept taking off for missing artwork, but I didn't really give a hoot about arguing since he was decent enough to ring up the separate transactions. Good money for me.

That being said, with deals back at console launches, I still made money overall.
Guy was really cool about everything, but did try to bs a justification for the pawn laws that made me buy before I left (will be returning some stuff later).
PSN cards, another year PS+, and a couple bs games to return for Mario Golf (of course it was out of stock) and Mario Kart later. Not bad overall honestly for games I'd finished/won't play again for a bit. (I do admit I kind of wanted to keep TF)
And guys, try to take it easy on the mobile 'black shirts' people. Assuming they were being honest, the guy that helped me and another one that was present were talking pretty candidly about not being informed about this promo in anyway and also not having been trained with how the promotions worked at all.

I'm still torn on whether I can part with some of GC titles for 30 a pop. Thats really insane, but I still have a silly attachment to them

This was at West Boca in Florida. They wouldn't give me the gift card and made me shop on the spot. I picked out Infamous and will return it later this week sometime for a gift card.
Also call your store for the real hours of their mobile kiosk, the site was completely wrong and I missed out on the great trade in values that a lot of you got.

Hope you're not trying to get an Amazon card at Target, because that's not gonna happen.
Nah. At Gamestop (GS) I shall get my gift card.
So I went to Tanforan Target since I called earlier yesterday and they said they did the 3X trade in deal. When I went there, the electronics manager said they longer do trade ins for games which is complete bullshiet. So I went to the next closest Target and was able to trade in Ryse, Dead Rising 3, Forza for $45 a piece and then TitanFall for $55.5.
