Target Triple Trade-in Value from 5/18-5/24

I went back to do a re-run and I even got a printed reciept for $78, but then an outage occurred, complete with a yellow notification on the home screen about the outage. So they gave me my games back and the reciept. Dunno if they'll honor the prices tomorrow. Dudes, stop selling your games for a second your killing the servers!

Looks like the frequency they are going to lower the deal values is daily, so get in there while you can

I was trying to trade in:
MH3: $38
Bioshock Infamous: $9
ALBW: $30

I'm sure by tomorrow at least MH will drop

Was gonna trade in more today but I see the values are down and the system is borked.

Oh well, at least I got some yesterday.

I was going to go earlier too before work but I didn't have that much time. I am just so pissed right now Target better get it together before they close today. Even then I'll be wasting gas and time.

Why the hell is Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 Wii so expensive on Amazon/Ebay? I have a Wii copy sitting here that I wanted to trade in for $15

Thanks for breaking the system guys. The target employee tried for 20 mins before giving up. He wrote down today's value, and promised to pay that tomorrow (we'll see).

I'll try again tomorrow during my lunch break. I should have gotten a receipt on my games today. At least it would have been somewhat of an argument if the price dropped.

Just left a store in Illinois. They're saying the trade-in servers specifically are down. I strongly suspect bullshit here.

Rather than them going back on their offer entirely, I suspect they took the severs down to reconfigure these prices.

I'm in store right now and they are apparently having issues due to their "card processing partner". Sounds like I'm sol.

Any other Florida residents: you can buy a few games /anything from electronics with your "immediately spent" funds, then go straight to guest services, and return it for a gift card.

Yep, this is exactly what I did, thanks for the tip. Got $39 for Killzone Shadow Fall, which feels pretty great. It will buy me a lot of Cabot Seriously Sharp Cheddar Cheese and Silk Dark Chocolate Almond Milk in the weeks to come.

Well I'm an unlucky fellow, went to 2 different Targets and both had their gift cards system not working told me that they might be able to fix it until 2-3 days, which by them I'm guessing the prices will drop even more lol, oh well guess I'll stick to ebay.

If no one is able to go through with the trade ins today, can the prices really drop again? Don't they adjust the prices based on the supply they have?

I wish I could say I had a nice and smooth transaction, but nope. It was pretty stressful, lots of waiting, and I didn't even get my card.

The first Target I went to, is the Target I usually frequent. I went to the correct place, and asked the employee there about the promotion. He looked at me puzzled like he didn't know what I was talking about. Which is beyond weird, who doesn't tell their employees what the heck happens each day? Anyways, some guy comes and finally tells me that he's doing the transactions, but I have to wait 15mins while he helps someone. I say ok, and I wait a while. 20mins later, he's still talking to the lady. So I walk away and just wait a couple more minutes while browsing Target with my bro. 20 more mins later, he's still talking to the lady. Now he doesn't even look like he's helping her anymore, it looks like he's having an off-topic chat with her. I get pissed and go to complain for taking so darn long, but my bro is quite the spineless kinda guy. So he told me to leave it alone and lets just leave. I'm a big complainer, so I would have given him an ear full. Deal with a customer, then move on. Don't have a friendly chat while I'm waiting.

I decide to go to a different Target. I get helped out immediately, and he checks my games in. Guess what this time? The system is down now (FFS!!). This guy is actually smart though, and doing his job unlike the other guy. He's on the phone calling people, trying to get everything sorted out. In the end, I got my transactions through, but no card. I have to go back to Target tomorrow and get my card. All in all, lots of waiting, and I'm stressed the hell out. It took me 2hrs, what took everyone else 3mins to do at other Targets. You may say that I'm overreacting, but no one likes wasting there day sitting around a store.

No matter what, I always have bad luck. I should just change my name to "Eugene" already.

EDIT: Oh, it seems like everyone else is having the same problem. Well at least that makes me feel a bit better...

Has anyone verified that these gift cards can be used throughout the store, not just in electronics?

Traded three games at noon and got a printout with a ton of legalese.

I'm here on my break at work. System is down! Nooo

I know brother I know. I missed two hours of work. I LOST MONEY ON THIS DEAL :P

Someone on CAG said that ETA for it being back up is 2 hours. So a bit more than an hour then?

Sweet. I wish I wasn't blacklisted at my target since I already did a deal there. I wonder if they will honor my already processed reciept

Yep. They can be used on just about anything, minus prepaid Visa/MC cards.

I used my gift card yesterday to purchase groceries, toiletries and toys.

Traded in my old X360 copy of CoD:BO2 for $20....not too shabby.

Apparently this promotion is to encourage people to get a wireless phone/service from the Target Mobile Store, however, it appears that this has not been the case (obviously). Target really needs to tighten down the ship for this to work. Great deal for gamers, though.

I called and was told I'd get $34 for Infamous SS. I think I'll sell on Craigslist instead.

That was the biggest pain in the ass. It took an hour and the values were lower than just a couple hours earlier. Great if you find a steal but not worth it. *cancels cache of ps4 games from gamefly*

Blacklisted? I went to the same Target 3 times yesterday with multiple transactions. They can do it.

I'll be shocked if this actually happens. I suspect they're intentionally taking their servers down to adjust prices lower, and this isn't an actual technical problem. The reason being their servers are still working just fine. They can check prices, etc, and the same goes for their website right now. The ONLY part that isn't working is the "give you a gift card" part, and that's way too convenient.

No, they just can't handle any demand. This happened last time they had a decent promotion. Usually, hardly anyone trades in anything.

Went in and got the same problem about the system or whatever. Just got the guy to print out the receipt of the games I traded so I could come back and just have him scan it and add it to the gift card.

Wow the whole system is down? Must have gotten slammed from all the nationwide attention, or maybe a few too many titles out there they were giving too much for.

Glad I got what I got too, but wish I'd gone earlier to get 80 dollars out of bravely and kid icarus.

They only have one guy doing it every day so far. He knows me and says "1 transaction per customer". Douche. Pretty sure that's their policy though or I'd push it for sure

Well yea it really does boil down to the employee. The system doesn't flag it or anything. After the first transaction the next transaction auto fills the previous person's info anyway.

I was able to get them to put in writing guaranteeing the $39 value for KZ:SF. Funnily enough, they wouldn't buy the ACIV Target Edition on PS4. Fucking ridiculous.

I was planning on doing South Park and inFamous when I saw the prices last night, but they had already decreased when I checked the prices again before leaving work, today.

The thirst is real! Hope the system comes back up for you who are still trying! This all makes me wish GameStop had decent trade in values instead of nut crushing ones.
