Controller discussions are moot. If Capcom are the awesome dev team that they are - and they should be by now - they will put in support for every controller type around, a la Smash Bros.
If people aren't happy with the default controllers they will go out to buy specialised arcade sticks for the game. For everyone else they can use whatever's already lying about the house from when they bought Brawl or Mario Kart Wii. Heck, don't they already have adapters for using NES/SNES/etc. pads on the Wii now? There's really no excuse for whining about controller options.

It's retarded that we should have to pay $350 to import the system, $100 for a couple of arcade sticks, and $70 for the game just to play the game the way it was ment to be played and still have it gimped compared to what it could have been on either of the other two consoles.
It's not the same as complaining about RE5, Bionic Commando or SF4 not being on the Wii. They are technically ambitious games that are inhibited by Nintendo's choice to pursue the casual market which making as much money possible by selling dated hardware. It's clearly not the same case and you know it.
I don't have a problem with this game coming out for the Wii, I have a problem with it ONLY coming out for the Wii when there are two other consoles that the game would have been much better suited on.

Look, i'm not going to play a 2d fighter with any sort of waggle or a GC/classic controller and i'm not going to buy an arcade stick for a system with a dearth of 2d fighters - i've been looking forward to TvsC since it was announced, but the Wii is the only system I wouldn't have considered purchasing the game for (unless the Virtua Stick works plugged into the Wii's USB port, which I seriousley doubt), but ok - i'm sure you're right, I was never hyped for the game and i'm just here to bash the Wii, despite owning one :lol

(which also happens to be a Japanese company) and not focus all of its attention on the US. Read the the TvC thread, it's primarily for Japanese markets, not the west. So get over it.

There's Freeloader and there's Twilight Hack. There's absolutely no need to import a Japanese Wii. Now, let's say it was on the 360. Then you'd *have* to get a Japanese system.SlaughterX said:

How is this different from buying arcade sticks for a PS3/360? You can buy a cheap classic controller as well.
How is it gimped? The game was designed for Wii-level arcade hardware. The only possible problems could be with online play, and we don't even know anything about that yet.

If it was coming to the 360 and PS3 only, I'd finally decide to buy a 360 now that they're getting cheaper. If this Wii version has no online I'd be a little disappointed and want a 360 version, too. Either way I'd make sure to get this game as it's at the top of my most wanted list, Wii exclusive or not.Bootaaay said:

The systems and stuff have already been decided, and there isn't a damn thing the HD consoles would have done different other than make it look nice. In fact, the 360 would have been "just as bad", because I would have had to buy another controller, or a stick, because of the horrid dpad.
