Telltale needs to make a Seinfeld adventure game series.

They would be paying out the ass for the rights.

I'd be completely down with this. I'm a huge Seinfeld fan and think this would be a really cool spin on the adventure/narrative game.

That said, because it's the internet I'm going to come in as the stranger that has nothing better to do than nitpick some of your concepts because why the hell not.

Think about it! All of your favorite Seinfeld characters in comedic situations that YOU the player get to influence!

Episode 1:
Jerry's mom is visiting and he wants to impress her by making her special pecan pie recipe, but he is out of pecans and there's been a recall of pecan-related products. He and Kramer have to find the last bag of pecans in New York City that isn't contaminated before it's too late.

Episode 5:
Jerry is throwing a party to commemorate his upcoming one hundredth stand-up performance. But when he suddenly contracts laryngitis the night before the show, he must rely upon his friends to find his voice again.

I really don't see Jerry ever baking a pie for his mom, let alone ever being bothered to try and impress her when she comes visiting. Seems very unlike his character.

The party plot is a fantastic idea, but it'd be better suited (and more fitting to the show's nature) if it was an appearance on a major late-night show, or perhaps his own hour long special. I would have to expect as a professional comedian he'd have done more than 100 performances (at the time of the Seinfeld series).

Anyways, it's actually a really cool idea, and would be best if it was set in the 90's just like Seinfeld. Don't make it a modern version or age the characters. They should do one reunion season with them in modern times.

I was actually pondering what a sitcom themed Telltale game would be like just a month or two ago, so I'd be on board with this.

Firefly was a sitcom! >_>

...look, I just want a Firefly game. I don't care how I get it. I'll say anything at this point.

I was just spitballing. I haven't seen a ton of the show, but I know the characters and the formula. Thanks for the feedback.

It should definitely be set in the 90s.

Oh, I would be onboard 100 percent. Also the way the show is structured could absolutely work for an adventure game. Kramerica will rise again.

Lol it wasn't really feedback (at least not in the sense that I was intending to critique your ideas because that's just silly in a hypothetical thread like this), just more me having a natural reaction to your ideas because

A) I liked them (alot)

B) I love this show.

I wish Telltale, or someone, would do this.

That would make way for a lot of future humour, it would work very well with those characters.

"Why are you leaving her so many messages on her machine, you'll use all of her tape!"

"What am I supposed to do, call HER?!"

Now what's the next step in your master plan?
I'd rather Its Always Sunny. How long can you supress Mac's homosexual tendencies and convince yourself how huge you are. Try and get through the game as Charlie being unable to read and write, bluffing and fumbling your way through situations. Dennis needs to a five star man at all times.

Every set of dialogue choice will always have the option to call Sweet Dee a bird or something of the sort.

What's the deal with choose your own adventure? They always end the same!

The choices, Jerry!

Oh, there's consequences.
This feels so much like some real lines of dialog that it is scary.

And Telltale has done more than just Tales of the Borderlands in terms of comedy. The Sam & Max games were pretty great.

Telltale has done so well with dramatic IPs as of late, and even with the more comedic IP of Borderlands, then why not attempt to adapt one of the most beloved sitcoms of all time? You the player could pick the punchlines, barbing away at the absurdity of 90s New York.

Just think of the possibilities:

Episode 1:
Jerry's mom is visiting and he wants to impress her by making her special pecan pie recipe, but he is out of pecans and there's been a recall of pecan-related products. He and Kramer have to find the last bag of pecans in New York City that isn't contaminated before it's too late.

Episode 2:
Costanza has a new job as a telemarketing specialist and ends up coming up with a "phone voice" to better impress people. But, he ends up calling one of his ex-girlfriends and selling her a new home insurance policy. He has to find a way to convince her to cancel the policy before he is forced to talk to her more often than he wants to.

Episode 3:
Elaine goes to a thrift store and finds an old cardigan that she gave away to a friend several years ago. When she later runs into the friend, she finds that she is now engaged to a man whom she had failed to court. Elaine must find and burn the cardigan before it's too late.

Episode 4:
Kramer becomes a private detective, converting his living space into a detective agency. When he finds out about a murder down his street, he sets out to find the culprit.

Episode 5:
Jerry is throwing a party to commemorate his upcoming one hundredth stand-up performance. But when he suddenly contracts laryngitis the night before the show, he must rely upon his friends to find his voice again.

I think it could be another breakout hit for Telltale.

I can dig it.

This is the greatest idea in the history of ideas.

We will remember this day as the day Deft Beck opened our eyes to the world around us. And the world was beautiful.

YES holy shit an Always Sunny virtual novel could go pretty much anywhere. /so/ many good characters they could use

Yes, they could make the game and bring Seinfeld back to TV with fresh new episodes each week as well.

Please ;_;

I think I'd rather a Telltale adaptation of Psych.

Solving mysteries using abilities like Gus' super sniffer, Shawn's "psychic" ability to view environments for clues, etc. They already have experience of some sort with their Sam & Max games.
Now this is an idea I can get behind!! Love that show

Another day, another "Telltale needs to make a [insert the last movie/TV show you saw here] game" thread.

Being brutally honest, I don't get on with their games at all. I love Jurassic Park and The Walking Dead, for example, but I really don't like playing their respective games. I'd rather just sit back and watch the end result of someone else's predefined choices.

Top idea.

We don't get enough funny games. South Park game was the only one I remember recently. Most games are so serious.
