- 'Terriers' creator Ted Griffin hopes FX will give show another shot
Griffin says he expects that FX will make a decision about the show's future next week, after all the final ratings for the season are in.

"I won't hold it against [FX President John Landgraf] if it doesn't go our way, but I hope it does," he said. "I think, in their hearts, FX and John Landgraf would love to renew it. They’re very proud of it and feel strongly about it. I think they’re a little baffled by the numbers. I think they’re also in business and they have to be realistic about it. They can’t just go with their hearts on that. So I’m not buying anything expensive. I’m not taking out mortgages based on future income."

Is it really very likely that we'll get a definitive answer on the show's fate soon after the finale? I remember there being a long wait before the news of Damages' "cancellation" got out, so why would we hear any sooner for this show?

That's because Damages was a Sony production and they were actively selling it to DirecTV. A network switch seems pretty much out of the running here. Either FX picks it up or the show is done.

just give one more season.

so I can buy the dvd or blu ray to gift to people, and hopefully get them watching the series

Just read this.

REALLY???
The hell? they just started in on that less than 6 months ago.

Fuck, Two and Half men and Family guy are absorbing my TV into a black hole of suck.

To be fair, from what I see FX does more advertising for Two and a Half Men than any of its original shows. Their network IDs are based on reruns of that shit. So if you're going to talk about how FX is branding itself...

Do they re-run the show by any chance? I'm guessing that's what they're referring to...
Yeah, but like Speedin said, it only started recently. FX is definitely known for its badass shows.

Maybe my viewpoint is affected by people I follow on Twitter posting "OWNAGE" when action happens on Justified and Sons of Anarchy. There's not too much "OWNAGE" on Terriers.

I have my bucket prepared to shed my bitter, bitter tears if this is the case.

Another bucket for tears of joy if it is renewed.

Wish I had done more. Big thanks to Cornballer for hearing me out and covering the show so well.

Every episode of this show is near perfect, but Asunder might just be the best of them. You've got the kick-ass Hank plot where he grapples with Gretchen getting married, his alcoholism, AND ends up a step closer to nailing Zeitland. The way he maneuvers that situation is such a thrill to watch. Laura has a really cool introduction. And Britt and Katie have that hugely tear-jerking and character changing conversation. It blows open every flaw the two have in 3 minutes. Britt is undyingly loyal, but he truly is slightly childish. He has growing up to do. He needs to think more about his actions. And Katie, oddly, has some of the same problems. She's too cowardly to actually talk to Britt, so she just attempts damage control. And when that doesn't work, she full-on tears him apart. Both love each other so much, yet both are too immature to talk things over and have an adult relationship.
This show is seriously beautiful. Goddamn.

Bought an episode on Amazon VOD earlier, I'll buy the finale also, and I've watched 2 episodes on Hulu today and now have one on in the background.
