The Agency (Sony PC/PS3 MMO) E3 Trailer

To be fair, this does look a million times better than the horse dung they showed last time. Still not interested though!

wow that does not look the same at all.. also R* game is called "Agent" no "The"
Used to look like:

That's okay, I thought it was supposed to be a spy game but it just looks like MAG. What kind of spies run around in groups shooting automatic weapons nonstop?
there are 2 sides in the game and they play differently:

(U.N.I.T.E) are the world's most elite secret agents. They are the forefront of the fight against terrorism, corruption, and rogue states around the globe. U.N.I.T.E. agents are deadly specialists in stealth and subterfuge, with access to technology the public has never seen before.

(ParaGON) is one of the largest private armies in the world, serving clients both upstanding and unsavory. ParaGON's efficient, honorable, and often unconventional mercenaries can be found putting duct tape and high explosives to new and exciting uses on every continent.

this could be seen from the very first trailer, the chick (unite) tries to sneak in while the dude (paragon) busts in with a gatlin gun.

its an mmo you dont just shit it or get off it >.>

Its a MMO planned for consoles. Yeah, that's been working out for Conan, APB and many others. Scrap the console version (they would rather play CoD anyway) and hope PC MMO players pick it up.

It looks really generic in that trailer. Like, bad. None of the personality it had before.

Pass.

I'll stick with Totori no Atelier Arland no Renkinjutsushi 2.

what in the purple hell ? Atelier Totori ( JRPG) has nothing to do with this , it's a very different game.

Looks OK. I have a feeling that Sony may have shifted the tone and style of this game so it doesn't 'step on the toes' of Rockstar's Agent.

I suspect that the proof of this pudding will be in the eating. Not the looking.

Once again Sony ruins E3 by showing off EVERYTHING before the conference! I demand megatons!

Does this 'early' release of the trailer for The Agency really ruin Sony's E3 conference?

If they had devoted time to talking about this game and shown this trailer during their press conference at E3 people would have gone mad.

If SOE are showing anything at Sony's E3 conference it's going to be a teaser for Planetside 2.

Do Sony really have SO MUCH to show come E3 that they have to keep spewing out these trailers beforehand?

Well they just announced on the Euro PSblog Twitter that there will be 2 huge announcements Saturday on the Euro PSblog. So they obviously still have stuff.

Depending on how much more they need to spend to get it on the PS3, if they can target a larger market, why not?

I'm liking the feel to the game, is this still slated to be a "free MMO" and how deep is the game play? A lot of random mission, or is constant DLC stream the way their going for this?

huh interesting.

well during E3 I think people and media will focus on Move ( and Natal/3DS on Nintendo and MS sides) so they doing the right thing (imo )by giving their "games" some attention now.

Who will pay monthly to play this on PS3? Will offer enough to set itself apart from the shitton of shooters on the market? All of which feature elements of leveling up and progressing.

Good luck. FF XIV will, once again, be the only MMO on consoles.

Any info on how the subscription model's gonna work? I haven't been following this game at all. Would try it, but not with a monthly fee.

You should read up more on this game. Comparing it to shooters is just wrong. It's not your standard shooter at all. This trailer is very misleading in that aspect.

thought there is no monthly Fees for The Agency no ?

So what's the point of E3? Honestly there have been so many announcements that it's looking like E3 is just gonna be interviews about games that we already know about, with a few being playable.

why are you assuming that people wouldnt pay for this? do you know much about this game or not?

Obviously SOE thinks somebody will want to pay monthly to play this on the PS3, we'll see how it does, it's not like we know how much they're charging per month or what the game offers yet, not sure why they need to limit this to the PC, it's not like the PC shooter market isn't highly competitive itself.

Looks a lot better than before. Could be fun, I might give it a try. I'm assuming there's not gonna be a subscription fee.

I'm more itnerested in DC Online tho.

I've followed the game for three years now. I know what they're aiming for...well, hopefully they are still aiming for it. However, a shooter is how casuals will see this. Especially with this trailer. Why this trailer? Why not a trailer showing off what you intend to do with the game featuring this new, generic look? Did something change? It's completely different than any other trailer they have done.

For those who don't know, check out the walkthroughs at E3 2009. Hopefully, this is still their direction.

To console players though, this will be a shooter to them. Especially after that trailer.

PC is a different market and you know it. This is why APB will be a completely different game on console and not a MMO. Where's the Fallen Earth console version? Where is...any MMO on consoles other than FFXIV?

Wasn't this game hyped up forever by an insider? The person kept saying stuff along the lines of "yes it IS real-time".

DC universe? :)

Only MMO I'm even excited about atm. Although I expect that to change once I see more of The Old Republic and possibly FFXIV. On consoles though, DC Universe looks like the one to beat. Not saying much though, we are talking about MMOs on consoles after all.

ehh

i'll have to wait and see/hear more..

it was announced as this super spy/espionage/ (ps3 to pc to even using mobile devices to interact with your team)/super duper third person shooter mmorpg

Maybe because they wanted more of an action trailer this time?

looking at the trailer again i dont think people realize that this trailer being full of gunplay was probably the intention.

1) when the grenade goes off in the intro the explosion is guns and weapons

2) then it goes into the 3D gun shooting and then it goes to gameplay.

Looks pretty poor to be honest. Being an MMO isnt an excuse for your game to have the visuals and animation of a low budget PC game from a decade ago. Sure it looks better than the last time we saw it but that isn't saying a lot.

Do you think that this is all that they'd look at for the game though? As you mentioned the majority of the media released for this game show it as a spy title.
