I already told half of my friends list to buy Rez HD or forfeit their lives.
 
I love the fourth level when the subwoofer makes everything bounce with the rhythm. Enjoy this... I dont have XO so I'm stuck with the (great) PS2-version.

Use headphones if you don't own good speakers. The surround sound is not as important as the quality of the sound. And volume ;)
 
I'm gonna wait until the beginning of Feb to see if I won the Rez HD code contest.

If not, then I'll purchase 1K points for it. :D Just finished playing the trial and WOW.

First time I've had fun during a video game in a long time.

EDIT: Scratch that. The contest ends by January 31st, as far as I know.
 
Holy wow...as a Rez first timer, The only thing that could complete this post is some sort of .gif from that Space Odyssey movie where the guy goes through the monolith.

WOW Rez cherry popped and its amazing, so pretty, so simple yet so much fun, got to level/stage 7 the got take down.

The visuals are just amazing, Wario bump someone and get me added to your friends list I want to see your scores.
 
Now...just for Ikaruga to arrive on XBL, and my 360 will reach a higher state of conciousness.

For the bosses, yeah. Depending on how much you shoot down determines how difficult the boss is and how many points you get. For instance, when I 100% everything in area 1, I got Tera. But a replay I watched shot down about 97% and was only Giga.

Edit: And tile mode! Love it! Blur mode hurt my eyes though :(

Seriously I gotta get some sleep as well. Its 3:52AM here and i've spent the latter half of the night ranking up in an assassins association, finding stars in galaxies, and exploring a network.
 
I just went through it. Area 5 is mindblowing as usual. Everything looks so... good! And the tile option is hilariously great, although I think Bloom/Glare does wonders honestly.

Like I always do, downloaded the trial version first. 30 seconds into the trial version I bought it :lol :D That's huge as I am very discrimating what xbox live arcade games I purchase, this is only my 2nd one. :lol

Remember --> Option --> Sound --> 5.1! Default is only Stereo

I need to sleep :lol
 
Just forked the points, now I am waiting for the download to be done, and for my bootifool Chessmaster too... GAWD IS CHEZZMASTAH!
 
Haha, I think I'm getting sleepy. Trying too hard maxing out combos, keep dying on area 2. But for some reason I still got ranked #2 on the leaderboards.
 
REZ is one of my favorite game of all time (surely top 10, maybe even top 5).
Mizuguchi is my favorite game designer.
REZ HD was my most wanted game on 360 (screw Halo, Gears or whatever...).
The anticipation was getting insane, i couldn't wait for the game to come out.
The day before yesterday i got my first Red Ring Of Death.

I've got a head ache and I'm tired from the working in the sun, but I just played it enough then to ensure I have the music and images from the second boss flittering around my conciousness. I'd hate/love to see what happens when I give it a decent play through.

Sorry to hear that. If it makes you feel any better, REZ HD is a horrible re-make of the original. I can't imagine why photos of John Stamos keep popping up - what a horrible design decision.

Ouch.

Actually my 360's disc drive completely dead. I can still play XBLA games though...like Rez HD!
 
I have to admit I have never known how the scoring works in this game. Chaining and stuff. I have just been mashing the shoot button. How do you "chain" enemies? How do I get a better score?

Basically you want to hold A until you get max (8 targets locked), then fire. Enemies have to be shot on screen to get the points though.

I'm #1 on area 4, hehe. Just download the replay saves and see how the top people are scoring. I never played Rez as a high scoring game though, so it'll be interesting to see how to milk/exploit points in this game
 
Never played Rez before this. Incredible "zen" experience.

I put a second controller in the hood of a fleece hoody, and activated the trance vibration feature. So damn cool.

Interesting! Replay saves OMG! This game is so beautiful in HD. Amazing really.

EDIT: Damn it is so easy to watch replays. My mind is already blown watching this guy play. I see exactly how to chain now.
 
Wow, just gave it a quick spin. HD makes a massive difference to the DC original I remember all those years back. My hairs were literally standing on end as I got to the end of Area 1. Can't wait until later when I can get stuck in to this properly.
 
I didnt even unlock boss rush mode...93% shot down in area 5, so rusty.


p.s. trancemission is still fucking trippy
 
fucking incredible game, I kept repeating the first area just to get a higher score.

Im hooked, its weird to say but nonetheless the game is just an eyegasm
 
Having never played Rez before the one thing I can say after playing Rez HD is it puts a smile on my face. It captures that elusive fun factor that so many games seem to miss these days.
 
Just finished the first area. So many great memories of this game! Game is just as great as I remember.

As and aside, I'm ready for another Panzer Dragoon game Sega!

PDO HD with achievements and leaderboards would be fuck awesome. But even if they just stuck it up on Xbox Originals it'd be better than nothing.
 
Just finished level 5 on my first go of the game. Wasn't as hard as I expected it to be though I will admit I was down to my last form when I finished it. :lol

Seemed to unlock a load of stuff.
 
Damn this came out?

Too bad I am getting Brawl tomorrow after work. Will just have to pick it up when if I ever take a break from Brawl :)

I don't think I have the money on my card atm to get it anyway :(
