I'M SO SORRY DMc, I SWEAR I WAS JUST LOOKING OUT FOR THE OTHER POSTERS!DMczaf said:Did you just spoiler tag a press release?
Did Sculli hack your account?
Dan said:Same goes for the audience. It's a significantly different situation that works in a different way. Plus, just because Bruce Wayne is unaware, doesn't mean the audience is. If it's kept a secret from the audience, it's still different than Batman Begins. In that one, the real twist was just that Ducard was alive. The name change was a pretty superficial thing. My idea here would be being presented a character very different from the truth.
So this is how Nolan will reboot the series:DMczaf said:*looks at name* !!

Eh. Both Bruce and the audience know that Henri Ducard is a killer with an extreme sense of justice from very early in the film. Finding out that he's actually Ra's didn't change much in terms of perception of his character, just the character's position within the organization. The TDKR speculation would have the character perceived extremely differently from their real persona.Blader5489 said:Henri Ducard is a friend and mentor that helps Bruce through his grieving to channel it into something more productive. It's not identical to what happened in BB, but it's still pretty similar.
Horror makeup and special effects legend Tom Savini interviewed this past weekend for "The Dark Knight Rises" aka "Batman 3." This news is bound to have both horror fans and comic book fans salivating for weeks until the official announcement is made as to Savini's participation in the movie. Could the new Batman movie bring the Godfather of Gore out of retirement?
I covered the Motor City Nightmares horror convention and film festival this weekend outside of Detroit. Tom Savini was scheduled to be one of the guests of honor. On Friday, Tom contacted the organizers of the convention to say that he had to cancel as he was going to be interviewing for "The Dark Knight Rises," and that he had a good chance of "Getting it." This had some of the insiders at the convention raising questions as to Savini's potential capacity in the movie.
Savini is considered to be in retirement from makeup and special effects. He has been focusing his time running his special effects and makeup school along with acting and directing. A movie with the potential (if not guaranteed) draw of "The Dark Knight Rises" might bring the master known for "Dawn of the Dead," "Friday the 13th," and "Creepshow" out of retirement. The thought of a return for Savini will have many fans losing sleep.
It could be that there are other aspects of the film that he interviewed for, though. As he is in his 60s, I would doubt that he would be entering an interview for stunt work. Since he did not say that he was "reading" for Batman, my guess is that he would not be going for an acting part. Since the director has already been sealed, I would not expect Savini to be used in that capacity. Since he stated on the phone that he might "Get it" I would be under the assumption that he would be leading the makeup and special effects, not his company.
Due to his body of work, Savini is considered as a legend in the horror movie industry. His past as a photographer in Vietnam gave him exposure to dead bodies that the average makeup and special effect people would not. He brought this experience with him on set and progressed movie magic to a level that it had never been. Due to the fact that he focused on realism in his work, he was given the nickname of the "Godfather of Gore." He knew that death was ugly and sometimes very messy and this showed in his work.

What was so bad about two-face? Shit looked fake like a cartoon or videogame.faceless007 said:Still gotta be PG-13. Then again, I was kind of surprised they let Two-Face through with PG-13.
imo nothing, his face isn't something to warrant an R rating, that's kinda stupid._dementia said:What was so bad about two-face? Shit looked fake like a cartoon or videogame.
This scene was amazing the first time I watched it. I was already caught unaware by BB due to not knowing anything about it. This monstrosity appearing was icing on the cake. Damn, I loved this movie. Honestly made me enjoy Batman again after the older movies killed any desire I had of seeing more live feature films.SpeedingUptoStop said:Hopefully we get some exceedingly awesome shit like this:

He's fucked.
Edit: NM, account is still there he just deleted the tweet and then said it wasn't on the Batman set.
Except he works in Bedfordshire, which is where the Cardington sheds are. Which is where all 3 Batman films will have filmed at.
Still fucked!

Sounds like Bruce Wayne's new alibi is a business trip in India.Blader5489 said:So DKR begins shooting in India next week (May 6th) for a two day shoot. But strangely, Bale will be the only actor there.
Guess that kind of nixes the idea of that fort being related to Bane or Ra's.
